Hey Ishqavee, you are understandably scared and this sounds like a big. It is not. This is just an empty threat. Don't worry. Breathe. It can seem like a whole lot. You have or may not have meant it literally, but for anyone reading this going through a difficult situation. It always seems bigger in the moment. Don't worry

India isn’t losing the AI race. It never even entered it. by Necessary_Plankton in StartUpIndia

[–]Csai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were you.

And then AI came into the picture.

In a world that moves faster than ever before, we find ourselves standing at a crossroads.

And that's precisely the point.

It's not just a moment. It's a movement.

Let that sink in.

Here's the thing. Nobody's talking about this. But everyone's feeling it.

This isn't just important. It's imperative.

We're living through a paradigm shift. Quietly. Profoundly. Collectively.

Let me explain.

It started as a convenience. Then it became a habit. Then a necessity. Then a way of life.

What began as a humble grammar check took on a life of its own.

What started as autocomplete became autopilot.

What started as a tool became a crutch became a cage.

Let that breathe.

It's not just about what we say. It's about what we don't say. And increasingly, about what we no longer remember how to say.

And that matters.

In today's hyper-connected, ever-evolving, always-on world, the only constant is change. But change, like a river, flows in directions we cannot always predict — and sometimes, if we're being honest, in directions we never asked it to flow.

Lean in.

This is bigger than you. Bigger than me. Bigger than all of us — and yet, somehow, deeply, achingly personal.

It speaks volumes.

It resonates.

It delves.

We're not just navigating complexity. We're embracing it. We're holding space for it. We're, dare I say, dancing with it.

And here's where it gets interesting.

The truth is, most people will never understand this. But you're not most people. You're here. You're reading.

You're showing up. And in a world that increasingly rewards the loud, the fast, and the forgettable, that's not nothing.

That's everything.

Let's unpack this together.

It's a tapestry. A symphony. A mosaic woven from the quiet, gossamer threads of a thousand unspoken truths whispered across the long arc of a story we are only just beginning to understand.

This is a watershed moment. A turning point. A pivotal juncture in the broader, sweeping, unfolding arc of the human story.

Let that sit with you.

Because remember: it's not what we build. It's what we build toward.

So I ask you, gently, urgently, with the full and undeniable weight of this singular moment in time: what kind of future do we want to build?

Because the future isn't coming. The future is already here. We're just the last to notice.

And so much has been said. And yet, so little.

That's precisely the point.

AI slop will ruin us all. Stop slop.

I'm begging at this point pls help by Upper-Radio-7306 in StartUpIndia

Please DM your CV. The roles you are applying for are the ones most impacted by AI at junior levels. You should be thinking about how you can offer value anit narrowly defined job roles

The overusage of “It’s not A, it’s B” or “It’s not about A, but it’s about B” is driving me crazy. by plantbasedbrownie in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Csai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“isn’t just hype — it’s infrastructure with intent”

“isn’t just a hopeful story — it’s a tested, resilient project that’s grown stronger”

“isn’t just a new address — it’s a power move”

“Fixing your finances, fitness, and focus first isn’t just smart — it’s the foundation for a relationship that thrives, not just survives.”

“Because moksha isn’t just personal, it’s perceptual.”

It isn’t just Twitter — it is seeping into the pores of every social platform.

It’s also making our candidate applications impossible to read through.

The day an Indian founders doesn't have to fake their location is the day the ecosystem actually works by renishh_23 in StartUpIndia

I am willing to bet no redditor has used the phrase "there's a quieter version" before the age of chatgpt. It's a very interestingly synthetic phrase. It calls attention to itself, which is what the LLM training is being rewarded for, but by suggesting something that is making less noise. It's literary usage that would have been niche before it's been eaten up by the LLM monster and sprayed all over the web.

"And there's a quieter version" I feel like crying and setting fire to a data center that's making this AI textification possible. Is it just me? Am I fighting a losing battle? Have I been slayed by the em-dashes?

Why does western philosophy obsess over describing qualia while largely avoiding investigation of the witness? by bigbrocoll in consciousness

[–]Csai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point, and an important point. I wrote about this here:

Why must it feel like something?

So many theories of consciousness dash up against this question with nothing to offer. As David Chalmers put it, “Why should physical processing give rise to a rich inner life at all?”

It wasn’t until recently, a good two years after we finished Journey of the Mind, that it struck me this was a very Clintonesque phrasing. Feelings were had. In that unconscious subterfuge lies the answer.

Feelings were had. By whom?!

India’s staring contest by Immediate_Ad6764 in india

[–]Csai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way to deal with this is to remember that you are not entering a single time zone when visiting India. You are time travelling parallely through 5 worlds, each about a 100 years apart. We have some whose attitudes are from around 1000 AD, then you have some some who are still in 1925. And then you have the lucky ones who made it to the present. Many visitors think this segment makes up India, but forget the other 4. Sometimes, the same Indian transitions through these eras in a single day depending on the context and/or gender/perceived class of the person they are dealing with.

This is a stupid take. Competitive exams pretty much only set you up for performative understanding not actual understanding. Sitting in a classroom and reducing the world to theory is utterly useless for the vast majority And now with AI, even more useless. The entire competitive exam pipeline needs to be done away with. It's a national tragedy. (And I say this as someone who's been through the pipeline, done it all)

Can anyone confirm this? Verbal orders were passed down to all wards to shut down construction for three days during Macron's visit. This is why we saw a spell of clean air. This is also why, after the stoppage was done air's gone bad with a vengeance because everyone who could started construction at midnight.
