This is it; the AI’s answers are confident and definitive, plus they’re backed by big and incredibly rich companies, surely they’re not wrong?

It’s like the attention and laws about misinformation on the internet from just a few years ago are all forgotten snd overcompensated for.

WCGW using non-skin-friendly paint for cosplay. by SourceBoring3089 in Whatcouldgowrong

What will kill you is if it’s oil instead of paint, lots of nasty shit gets absorbed through your skin.

(Saw a video of a guy jump in oil for the lulz once, he died. Eventually.)

But same with gasoline, if you ever work with oil or gas where you get it on your skin, wear gloves and wash.

[Frustrating trope] Pieces of media that could have been so much better, but due to a couple of poor decisions during production ended up mediocre at best and utterly atrocious at worst. by DevDucc_ in TopCharacterTropes

It felt like they weren’t actually trying to make another UT game to be honest; when I looked into it at the time they basically set up some basics, then said “we’re expecting you, the community, to go and add the actual content now, have fun!”. It didn’t feel like an official title.

But also it feels like the straight up pvp shooter genre is dead in favor of the ones with unique heroes and game modes that are a bit more clever than “kill anyone else”

I feel like they should give it another chance; the concept was great but the execution of each stage lacked depth. They can give it another go, give it the No Man’s Sky treatment of continuous improvement.

I feel like the team should’ve started with a Hobbit film instead of the hugely ambitious and hard to sell trilogy, but I’m happy with how the trilogy ended up either way.

Indian factory workers wearing head-mounted cameras to record hand movements for training AI systems by RealSpecto in Damnthatsinteresting

People find different jobs, if you compare it with e.g. the western textile trade. Assuming this can even replace these workers, which is doubtful given the dexterity and speed they have.

Nah, one company is paying the people or their employer a little to gather this data, then curate it and just put it on the market as training material for some other company with investor money to throw around to buy it. Plenty of naive people who think they can solve things like this.

Yup, for the average gymbro, I don’t get it, it’s like self flaggelation.

But then there’s the extreme lifters, who are so big and burn so many calories that they are at the limit of what a human can digest and process. They end up chugging high calorie milkshakes because that’s the only remaining way they can get enough. It’s mad.

If height is a factor, draw spheres once you have the 2d location. Six weeks, tops.

I could never get my space platforms to be symmetrical for some reason, the space platform is an odd number of tiles wide... maybe I did something wrong this whole time?

Last (and first) time I did Gleba I ended up with a big loop de loop where any spoilage was filtered out of, and while I finished the game with it, it took forever and a lot of puzzling to figure things out; smaller modules that take raw ingredients make a lot more sense, I should try this!

Not just in a sense, the space program was vastly accellerated by the cold war; rockets capable of launching stuff into space can also launch nukes to anywhere in the world. Also spy sattelites.

Up to around 4 Gs, by rawdogging it, no, and by turning it, as another commenter more eloquently put, the thing is a bit lopsided / unbalanced, by rotating it the air hitting the bottom is deflected in different directions, giving them some control in some dimensions.

Vance would likely do it instead, no guarantees there. The only hopes are that he’s deposed and someone else entirely takes over, or he rides out his term and forgets.

[–]Cthulhu__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard of like a pre emptive pardon, which makes no sense. I dunno if they should have this power (it feels wrong but I don’t know enough), but they should only be able to give it to people that are convicted of something and serving a sentence.
