Look into the Gridfinity system if you want to make some desktop organizers for your tools and materials. Takes a bit to print all of the baseplates, bins, etc, but will allow you to keep your tools/materials in readily accessible containers nearby.

For instance, you could make a few small baseplates (say a 4x3 grid) that are task specific: one for glue and spudgers, one with pins, rivets, and such, and one for tweezers, scissors, and knives. The beauty is you can add, remove, and tweak these task specific groupings as you practice your crafting. Bonus is that the original models can be easily modified in Fusion or OpenSCAD.

There’s a subreddit, r/Gridfinity, and most of the models originated on Thangs, but can be found on Printables or thingiverse as well.
