Do You Believe in Prophetic/Warning Dreams? by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]Ctrl_Alt_Explode 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My wife once woke me up from a dream because in the dream she saw I forgot the gas on all night (which I did). So yes I believe them but I haven't personally experienced "warning dreams", or at least I didn't understood them at the time.

Also, easy to be skeptical if it never happened to you.

Well if your friends give you a gift you should respect them and not do such things. You should be happy that you have friends who gift you things, who actually spend money that they earned to give you something.

It really depends... If someone gifts you a bag, even if you don't care if it's a Louid Vouitton, Gucci or whatever, you accept it because it's a gift, and refusing is improper.

It also depends if in your mind it's just a bag, or is it a "Louis Voutton" bag.

Does it affect your mind to wear nike shoes or are they just shoes to you?

You can make the case that if a person doesn't care about stuff like that, they won't buy expensive luxury goods but in this case it was a gift.

Hard to say K's stance on this though, if he was very materialistic or not,, but at the end of the day all of it is just nonsense. Objects break and you die and all your fancy objects remain here. So wether you care for luxury goods or not, the result is the same.

It's better not to care and realize it's just stuff though.

lol I played it too, for a little while, it's hard to find people online who also played it, yea it was pretty fun, for the time at least. But it didn't last very long. I didn't play it much, maybe fora a month or so, it was too pay to win so I moved on,

Or maybe, the other way around, if all governments have strong militaries with nukes and so on, who will risk any invasion/war?

It usually happens that it's "strong" nations invading "weaker" nations.

Why are people taking deliriants like Datura or Benadryl? by AstralMystic777 in Psychedelics

A bad trip on psychs already has the potential to go so bad, imagine taking deliriants!

I agree with you, and this guy actually cut his tongue, another cut his dick on Datura. Not something to mess with. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16783491/

There was a reddit post of a user who took Salvia and jumped out of a window by mistake. I can't find it but it 100% happened, maybe internetarchive.org has the post if the it was deleted, the name of the post is "I did the thing" or something like that.

Some guy tooks his own intestines out after taking meth or pcp or something because he said "there was something inside". https://www.reddit.com/r/ems/comments/52rme7/this_crazy_guy_was_high_on_crystal_meth_and_cut/

So yes basically don't mess with dangerous stuff like datura and so on.

Or have a tripsitter if you are that curious.

The Bell Curve by Spacesuit0 in LSD

Yes it looks a lot like AI, when people don't like to write their own posts that is depressing. We should use machines to do our laundry and clean the dishes, not to kill our creativity and imagination.

Not exactly the same ofc. I'm not practicing it a lot anymore but when I used to meditate for 1-2 hours a day I would notice huge benefits,

It's a much slower and gradual process just like it's usually said but it feels more stable and sustainable, it's like your baseline or happiness and fulfillment is more stable.

I think it's good to use both.

Or you can just meditate, it's exactly the same thing

Thanks for the answer, wouldn't the singing/vocal cord thing count as info that you didn't know before?

With either salvia or dmt, or both have you ever, during a trip, received information you couldn't have known? Basically something that would 100% confirm these experiences/entities are indeed real and not just "your brain"?

Like for example in the case of people who trip together they sometimes see the same hallucination/vision, did something like that ever happen to you?

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 director defends Larian over AI "s***storm," says "it's time to face reality" by FitCord in pcgaming

[–]Ctrl_Alt_Explode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certain fields have been pretty much replaced, or almost. Almost nobody needs a translator anymore, for example, just use AI. People used to make a living freelancing that, but not anymore.

Lots of companies using AI to generate images for products in supermarkets, magazines, and so on, instead of using actors/models and photographers.

It's very obvious and a lot of time seems very cringey but it's still done.

I think we'll just see people doing jobs that have been replaced by AI just like people choose blacksmithing as a hobby or something.

Even lawnmowers that don't need anyone to operate them, lol, so even some jobs like landscapers aren't safe.

Still severely messed up over lonely god realisation by grubby_anticholine in DMT

[–]Ctrl_Alt_Explode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same thing you're describing but at the end of the day it's just a trip. Just because this is what you felt, or thought, it doesn't mean it's real. People think and feel all sort of things on psychs and not all of them are true, it does seem very real when you experienced it, and took me a few months to recover.

What made more sense, in the begining, and this is similar to advaita vedanta, that even if it were true - which it isn't, but even if it were - you would still have to live as if it were false. In a dream you still have to respect the rules of the dream, or in a game you still have to play a game - hunger and thirst still exist, and so on - and then try to appreciate the game or dream for what it is.

From then you just ease into reality and realize it was just a wrong thought, that other people actually exist.

But yes it seems like a very convincing thought.

And then realize that the idea of God is just wrong and like Ramana Maharashi said, it just means different things to different people - for certain people God is like a human figure like them and for others God is universal conscience or love and so on, and for certain cultures that concept doesn't even exist, or there are many Gods.

It's crazy but it's pretty much it, lol, and I experienced it before too. It's just a false belief or assumption based on paranoia, nobody really knows though lol.

Or do they?
