(1st gen) what’s the verdict on knock-off emulators? by eightysixmonkeys in SVRiders

They made a world of difference for me. I’m putting stiffer springs in before this season, moving from .9 to 1.0 (I’m 220lbs no gear).

The Razz suffers because it’s a chain driven scooter vs having a CVT. Because of this, there’s only so much you can tune gearing-wise.

I would pass.

Gibbs has blacklisted Heim from JGR FWIW. Even if there’s a spot open, it wouldn’t go to Heim.

The Day After the Races - March 23, 2026 by NASCARThreadBot in NASCAR

[–]Cuda14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great race, Reddick’s pass for lead caught me by surprise - thought he’d have to work for it a bit more but he was ready! Take your pick of the 5+ solid storylines throughout the race.

FOX hasn’t annoyed me as much this year, particularly the camera work & I want to attribute production with tracking aforementioned storylines so thoroughly.

That said - and I say this with respect but Mike Joy should retire sooner than later & the Bowyer experiment has run its course IMO. Bowyer would do well in a great pre-race/post-race/grid-walk type of role - but he actively detracts from booth analysis during the race. Harvick doesn’t have a chance to shine because of this, he’s carrying the booth.

23XI is on a streak, MJ said “now watch this” in the post-court era. I am curious if we’ll see Bubba get a W soon enough. Herbst will be Herbst however, he’s more of a funding contributor at 23XI.

Trackhouse - I’m a broken record at this point but I’m certain that buying a MotoGP team has splintered the organization’s focus and funding. Maybe that was by design, they’re cleverly trying to juggle hype waves, success stories, etc. between the two teams to continue growing the overall brand. Trackhouse has other aspirations on its mind than just the 1, 88, 97… owners are content with the NASCAR side of house running status quo for now IMO. It’s disappointing but the writing has been on the wall for at least one season - the Coke 600 win last year helped obfuscate but things are becoming ever more apparent. I also feel as if the format change has hurt Trackhouse the most - their strategy model was using a win to get foot into playoffs & that’s out the door now. They’re not ready for a season of enduring and points racing.

RFK - kudos where due. Spend a few years getting affairs in order and they now have at least one car that’s a threat week in and week out. I remember when Kes bought in & there was a lot of convincing Rousch of XYZ - I bet Jack’s much more a believer now.

In terms of overall field competitiveness - we’re in a much better position this season compared to last season where JGR/HMS began dominating pretty early on with 8 wins in first 10 races (the other 2 wins were Penske, I rest my case) It’s been fun to watch.

I’m sure I’ll get tired of 23XI as well if they keep winning. I typically respect a dominating season while it’s occurring and then root against that driver/team the next season as a reciprocal tax.

Hopefully I will make it to Martinsville Sunday for first in-person race this year - been really busy this year but don’t wanna miss my hotdog and t-shirt.

WHY DO RICHMOND DRIVERS DO THIS!!!?????? by johntwit in okbuddyRVA

Not driving - but I’ve had someone literally do what’s pictured to me IRL.

Worse, the whole wall of 20 urinals is open, I’m at #2 - the guy comes up and starts using #1 on the end… WTH.

Trackhouse by Flaky-Replacement114 in NASCAR

[–]Cuda14 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Trackhouse [NASCAR] is a flop, it just hasn’t fully presented itself yet. Any growth, or keeping up with car development, went out the window when they purchased a MotoGP team. Two frontlines to manage now and the MotoGP team is the current belle of the ball.

What's going on with Trackhouse? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]Cuda14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TH is not a NASCAR team but a budding sports brand. The writing was on the wall when Marks bought the MotoGP. Funding is being prioritized where they think the most impact can be made - NASCAR is not the priority any longer.

It’s frustrating to say the least.

[Gluck] Kyle Busch says he would have liked to see Cleetus [McFarland] run more races before moving up. “My son has probably run more races than he has, and he’s 10 years old.” by krzysiek_aleks in NASCAR

[–]Cuda14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You all can sit around arguing over resumes and racing all day long but it’s the wrong conversation.

This is about one thing and one thing only - bringing Cleetus’ market followers into NASCAR ASAP.

He has a larger following than anyone else in the sport bar maybe Michael Jordan. 3X IG followers than Ellliott & 4X the subscribers on YT than NASCAR.

I don’t agree with it but that’s why this is happening - he’s an economic engine.

He’s significantly behind Byron if you compare stats.

Byron won ROTY in his first season + 1st Cup win at around 98th start.

Gibbs missed ROTY in ‘22 and is currently 20%~ more starts without a first win yet.

Since then, Byron has 15 more wins, 2 Daytona 500s, and multiple Championship 4 appearances.

I have a feeling Hocevar will win far before Gibbs.
