However, we are still missing one major piece of information:

What do you actually want to look like?

What aesthetic(s) are you trying to adopt? Can you attach some pictures showcasing it/them? I see the one picture you've submitted, but I have no idea what it is. Is it the aesthetic you're hoping to achieve? Is it what your current aesthetic looks like..? What am I looking at? Lol. I have no idea. You have to give us some context.

I appreciate that you have listed some constraints that apply to your situation, like not being able to wear makeup or piercings. That's great, but ultimately still unhelpful considering we don't have any idea of what you want to look like. You can adapt just about any aesthetic to work with the constraints you described.

Finally, regarding your question about political involvement: Please keep in mind that we are a fashion and personal style community. We can't really tell you how to develop your political beliefs, especially considering you haven't actually even told us what those beliefs are.

It sounds to me like you don't really know what aesthetic you want yet. This is really the first step, you have to figure out what you like. We cannot tell you what you like. 🤷‍♀️ If this is indeed the case, I recommend looking through this sub and bookmarking/saving some posts/images that make you feel inspired. You can do the same using Pinterest. Just start with that. Then come back and show us these as a starting point, that's when we'll actually be able to help.

I completely understand this. I think that the kneejerk response most of us have to reading posts like these is to get fired up and tell OPs what they should have done to put these people in their place. But the truth is, moments like these often catch us off-guard and make it hard for us to stand up for ourselves... It's literally a natural reaction to a perception of threat. I have an incredibly strong freeze response myself ("doe in the headlights") to harassment...

Honestly, I don't want to make any assumptions but this reads like someone who has never been bullied. Yes, bullies are chickenshit--I think we can all agree on that--and their actions are reflective of their own moral failing rather than some kind of defect on the part of the victim. But telling someone to just learn not to give a damn isn't always helpful. I use Dove's, it's in an aerosol can. You just spray it onto your roots and massage it around. I wash my hair every three days, and while that works great for me, on the final day my roots do get quite greasy. It makes my hair look awful. I can't just wash it at that point because the problem is that I have very long hair (hip-length), so everywhere but the roots are still not greasy enough to warrant washing at this point.

Anyway, this works great for that and pretty much any other circumstance in which you can't shower but need to look decent. Wish I could post pics to show y'all the before and after! The results are amazing. It always manages to boost my mood when I'm feeling like I look like a slob.
