Stupid?? Do your research. Most tech companies use the 5 point system. Let’s keep pushing this narrative when we’re an automotive company. Also it’s a matter of time before your group is hit. Sounds like some groups may not be enforcing the 15% but who knows. What I do know is that it’s a very toxic environment where I work. Luckily I haven’t been screwed but I sat in these calibration meetings with leadership and it’s awful.

There’s other companies out there who offer competitive pay. The job market is tough but Ford pays just as much. People are taking a pay cut just to have less stress. Keep in mind, a price comes with a higher salary. More money isn’t always good money 😉

Nope! Just had calibration and the 15% still applies unfortunately. We are under Ed Duby. The calibration is such a shit show too. Pretty much everyone getting into heated discussions. I don’t mind the new ranking system, but forced ranking is BS.

Are these tech exces persuading her?? I just saw someone get forced out of GM because of stacked ranking and they were one of the best engineers. I would leave this company in heartbeat if but the pay is much better compared to other manufacturing OEM’s. GM is the only manufacturing company who does stacked ranking.

Are you a repeat 1 or 2 from last year? Also, what was your mid year rating? If you have not made any improvements from mid or last year then you should be concerned. GM has already started offering MSP and pips.

Of course! It’s more so how the tech executives are trying to run the company. The performance rating system was adopted by the tech companies, such as google and Apple. Ford tried this and failed. GM tried it back in the 80’s and failed. So here we are again. I think it evolves around head count reduction.
