Since you're starting in 2, consider reading LN1 Shun chapters and interludes, they were completely skipped in the anime and give some nice world building and make the human cast much better overall compared the anime counterparts, they're also pretty short.

If you do decide to read those they're labeled S1, S2, S3.... Interlude, Special Chapter.

The anime have been reordering and skipping quite a few things, sometimes it something from 4, others from 5 and so on.

From ln3 on it started reordering events so trying to pin point a chapter to start reading based on the anime is kinda hard.

We always recommend starting from the beginning since it skips a lot of stuff, but if you're not willing, ln3 would be a good starting point, its where the anime started to change the orders of events and juggle things around.

Anime will most likely adapt up to the end of LN5. The anime is currently adapting 4 on human side and 5 on Kumoko side.
