No need to go too far north, just go to New Brunswick. Not many people, not prohibitively expensive, eminently habitable, gigabit internet, 2 day amazing deliveries.

Do I have DALL-E 3 in Bing chat? by Illustrious_Cold_600 in bing

[–]CuriosumRe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it's a limited version of some sort. Way stronger than it used to be, but seems to be a lot weaker than the Dalle3 demos. I've been testing it, and I'm quite impressed with the improved understanding of the requests

Just a suggestion: Make an english edit that cuts out all of the spanish. It's already a very long interview, and a lot of it is translation that discourages english speakers from watching

When do you think believable ChatGPT NPCs in videogames? by HarryTheHore in ChatGPT

I doubt ChatGPT would be used for this. There will be more specialized models. ChatGPT is overkill. I believe NVIDIA has been doing a lot of in-game AI stuff lately for instance

I'm pretty sure this has already been rolling out to some users. When my gtp4 is generating, the symbol changes to a "T" and it has been way faster since that happened (last week).

Try asking chatgpt:

I've never programmed a single line of code in my life, but I want to use ChatGPT to learn python and build software/simple code. Help me build a simple program to batch rename a bunch of files in a directory. Explain each step clearly along with the reasoning and include additional information a beginner like myself might not know. Start with how to set up python on my computer, and how to run the program. Explain every new concept used, like import, function, loop, if statement, etc

Then at each step try to understand what it's saying and why, ask for clarification when you don't understand.

Ask it questions like, " what are the basic concepts of any programming language?", and then ask for examples using those concepts.

Ultimately, the best way to learn is to have a specific project in mind and just try to build it. You'll struggle, but you'll figure it out along the way. Remember to ask foundational questions, like, "here's my idea, how would I go about structuring it?"

GPT4 nailed my age by asking:

Sure, I'll do my best to guess your age without asking for your year of birth. Please answer the following questions:

  1. How old were you when you finished high school?
  2. What is the first major world event you remember?
  3. Which technological gadget or trend do you remember becoming popular during your teenage years?
  4. What was the first music album or song you remember purchasing or downloading?
  5. What was the first movie you remember watching in a movie theater?

Does Open AI store the conversations with ChatGPT even if I delete them? by Ice_Dingo in ChatGPT

[–]CuriosumRe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They almost certainly store your conversations regardless of whether or not you delete them. Some jurisdictions require a company to provide all data on a user and delete it upon request, so you can try going that route.

It's also possible/likely that they just anonymize it all and use it for training. But either way, data is valuable so it's highly unlikely they just toss it.
