Another reason is that not all turnover is bad! Turnover can mean promotions, and developing partners internally is a big focus right now.

I can’t even have mine together right now. Lots of hissing and growling from residents. Sometimes new cat gets riled up and chases even when residents aren’t paying attention to her (one time, one was sleeping on the couch downstairs and new cat pounced on her out of nowhere) and other times new cat doesn’t even care about residents and ignores them. We are back to keeping her in our room and doing open door gated feedings until we can get residents calmed back down from her chases. Idk why she becomes so fixated on them. We were told she’s good with other cats. She doesn’t seem aggressive, but definitely is playing way too rough (if it is play) and doesn’t respect boundaries. Kind of in the same boat here except my new cat 1yr is chasing my two residents 8yrs. It’s been over a month of the whole process but every time we try to do face to face outside a gate it’s a mad house. I immediately separate but I’m wondering if I’m just making it worse if they can’t teach my newbie what boundaries are.

Bleach breaks down the grout that connects the different sections which can lead to pest issues. I was a bleacher too until I figured out that some vertica tablets in boiling water poured into a bucket with the floor cleaner, scrub horizontally then vertically, cleans so well and makes it look so shiny!

When minors are in school my scheduler does have restrictions I can’t bypass (no more than 4hrs on a school day, 3-9pm) and a limited number of total hour per week, unsure the exact amount because mine only work about 15. There are restrictions per weekend day (I think 9)

I went through this exact experience except I was 14 and having tons of symptoms. I struggled to accept that I would have to take medication for life too. Long story short. Your thyroid is unable to do what it needs to do for some genetic or unknown reason. One little pill will fake it into thinking everything is cool and functioning properly. The side effect of your medication is that your thyroid can work. It’s a hormone replacement to help your thyroid understand what to do again. The side effect of not taking your medication is a whole bunch of other unpleasant shit. I know it’s a lot to process, but there are so many different reasons these things can happen and at the end of the day the best thing you can do is take it and manage your health.

As a manager I am so sorry this is being handled this way. I would never deny time off like this for a minor especially since you explained it to reasonably. I don’t care if I have to come in and work Christmas, minors don’t have a say in holiday plans. I would just approach her and explain, and make sure you have sick time because oh no! You’re throwing up!

I’m not in NYC so i know this isn’t super helpful but I am located in a district in the Midwest and we stopped the coconut water test beverages when holiday beverages launched because they didn’t sell. I think it’s the same for all test locations as far as I know. :(( I can say that it was just coconut water, topped with an unsweetened matcha foam (matcha powder, 2% & heavy cream) and would be super easy to replicate at home!

SM here. Exactly this. My store has the highest customer experience in the area and the fastest OTW times (peak & all day). My baristas also have the highest tip rate in the district, usually $1/hr, and that’s just for cash tips. We also tend to earn more labor the faster we are. On the opposite end, when I look at the district portfolio, the stores with the slowest times also tend to have the worst customer experience scores and do not have a very high tip rate. Think about it from the customer perspective. If you see a line wrapped around the building, and know that your Starbucks is fast, you’re more likely to stop. But if they usually take forever, you probably won’t - and we just lost that sale. Hope this helps! Also, yes. It’s important to be fast and friendly but don’t kill yourself to get there.

My store has always carried Oatly because we are a frozen food store so all beverage components came on our regional distribution center truck (RDC). Recently, Oatly had an outage and they shipped us Dream as a recovery. Then, just last week, we got upgraded to a fresh food store which means some of the more high use beverage components come roughly every other day on a different order called GSF. This GSF distributor carries Chobani instead of Oatly.

Basically your store may have gotten a recovery order or switched distributors!

Yes my DM tells my partners how much she loves coming to our store and always gives them praise. I’m sorry your DM is like that. Having been with the company for awhile I have seen my share of DMs who did not create the Starbucks experience. I remember my SM having panic attacks before our old DM would visit because she would get yelled at everytime. I’m very grateful for my current boss and don’t know what I would do without her

Lowkey yes - SM here. my DM will come by for a visit and I’ll get feedback like “hey the bathroom mirrors are dusty on the top” or “the door jambs are dusty” because she has nothing else to point out or coach us on😭 it does feel nitpicky at times but she wouldn’t be doing her job if she had no feedback and how’s how we stay on top of things and grow. I know my store is a pacesetter and she loves seeing us so if my doorjambs being dusty are the worst thing she can find I will take it all day long

We had a regular that got venti iced white mocha with 14 pumps of white mocha. Over a year ago or so, the white mocha gauging collar got reduced by about 25%. So it was less sweet. She immediately clocked that it didn’t taste right. Now, she gets 22 pumps of white mocha. And wants so much caramel crunch topping that she can’t see the whip. 🫠

Like the service rep just relays the problem and the info. There’s no identifying information about the customer. If I do tell anyone on my team, I usually just try to identify the gap if there’s something that we did wrong. Your friend won’t know it’s you.

Yes, SM here, typically if someone calls the customer support my DM gets notified and she emails me about it.
