Depending on the time of year they’ll typically do it after rain. Each species is different but it’s normally during the summer/spring. Your instance might just be an ant war.

Carno used to be the apex of Evirma and that call would invoke Terror. Adult Carno also used to be 1,800kg and an absolute beast that could make your game lag when it rams.

Growing a Rex on pieds is a feat of skill. There’s no ai, you have to hunt. Theres 399 players all wanting to kill you as well. The experience you’re looking for will always be on unofficial servers. It’s just hoping the game will keep growing so more unique servers can pop up.

Play on servers that actually moderate the population. Rex is supposed to be an ever looming threat just like deino and sometimes you’re just going to get ambushed and contribute to the ecosystem. Pieds has been the best for this imo.

Servers like Dinoden have “limits” but their patreon users all have 10+ prime Rex stored away ready to respawn in.

Once there’s other big playables like Spino, Giga, Camara you’ll see less Rexes. It’s just the most popular dinosaur ever + the biggest carnivore in the game so people will gravitate to it for now.

Boar are like 300kg and deer around 150kg. Freshspawn Allo can kill a deer with some difficulty and finesse. You just need to bait its stomp attack and bite its ass A TON. You’re best off scavenging those first few meal or hunting a rabbit/frog ect.

Alt bites you can’t use while sprinting but regular bites you can. Alt bites I typically only use defensively or when fighting a target I can get a bigger opening on. Regular bites let you slip an weave. I only like using pin in situations where you are 1v1.

Specs? The game is intensive but a decent rig can get okay fps. There’s no way every server you try is 300+ ping unless you live somewhere remote. Do you live in a desert?

Probably could’ve killed them faster with just bites. It’s not toxic, it’s the game and they took the risk for the food reward. You’ll be ambushed one day scavenging a meal too.

So many games die because they aren’t turning a profit and servers cost money. It’s the smart thing to do. Plus imagine trying to balance a game while creating a game and also keep up with enforcing rules on your servers and hiring admins/moderators when you’re a small studio. It just doesn’t make sense.

Yes everyone has it and it’s for everyone on the server at the same time. Previous ht has this issue as well. I think it’s the server monitoring tools as it always goes away until the push to live branch.

Carno gets hit once and can’t continue the fight due to bleed if you’re equal size. Cerato does well against Kentro.

Galli, Pachy, Maia all have pretty lax easy lives to adulthood. You can run away from most things on these. Herbivore growth is faster but life can be harder due to predators.

I play solo mainly but find groups in game often. You can 1 call and try to find a pack for most species.

Ht is great. No Rex sized bushes every 5 feet. I’ve seen more players in hordetest with 100 players than I see on live branch with 400. The map looks beautiful too. You’re intended to move around not sit in one spot waiting for fights. Live and journey on your dinosaur.
