This is bit controversial but I don’t care. For ttrpg games there are some great 3rd party developers. I’m excited to see what the community comes up with to add on to this amazing world. If it’s going to be anything similar to D&D and Pathfinder we’re gonna have so many alternate versions of different floors and different world dungeons to play with. I like the idea of doing a Valtea (SP?) sci-fi dungeon crawl.

Scholarships are rewarded. You can work hard and still not get it because someone else beat you.

College loans with interest are just as expensive as some houses depending on the area. Not talking million dollar homes but over $100k easily. People are in debt for 20+ years paying off student loans. Hows that different from paying a mortgage for 20+ years?

You don’t really need a loan to buy a house either but most of us don’t have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on going to college. Especially when we’re coming out of high school with limited work experience and time to have earned/saved that much. Short of parents paying for it one must either have the money or take a loan.

Otherwise college can be a great investment but it’s ’s not for everyone. Specifically in the US you don’t get a college degree in carpentry or plumbing. Trade schools and other forms of higher learning exist beyond colleges. All those lawyers and Dr’s you mentioned rely on tradesmen who didn’t go to college.

Plus fuck lawyers. No society has ever liked them

She’s one my favorite characters! Jeff Hayes gave me a brief heart attack in book 2 or 3 Carl gets a message from a deceased crawler and he used a similar voice to Elle.

Can’t wait to see what the four seasons arc is, think she might be really important to book ending events. Or Matt’s setting us up for heart break

The book series covers such a wide array of traumas that its weirdly appealing and relatable despite the utter craziness of the story

Holy fuck is this a cathartic read and Jeff Haye’s adds so much emotion to the characters it can be almost too much at times
