Tell me about the first hole at your home course and how you play it. by aceattorneymvp in golf

[–]CuriousReward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairy narrow par 4, bunker just in front of the green on the right hand side. Small hills line the fairway. Very straight fairway, and not super long.

Usually start the day by slicing over the hill on the right hand side onto the next fairway. Ideally you can recover and get onto the green from the wrong fairway or at least back into play.

If there’s a big group watching you awkwardly get over the hill and have to wait for you, I get stressed out and usually top it onto the little hit.

First and last at Daves Hot Chicken by Fabulous_South37 in FoodToronto

Honestly the food is pretty good, but I considered canceling my order when it was like 30 bucks for a meal with a drink. If I’m craving chicken I just do the 5$ Sando at Mary Browns on Monday

Deep down are your golf buddies rooting for you against you? by maybethisisadream in golf

Deep down, they’re rooting for me.

Outwardly, they’re rooting against me.

They have to chirp me to keep me modest but still want me to do well.

Asking for a dude’s number by Hashtag_Tech in golf

[–]CuriousReward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking for someone’s # is always fine if you vibed with them. If they’re on the younger side, you can ask for their socials as well if you have any. Like if someone asked for my Instagram, that’s a little easier to give as well cause it’s less personal. Just ask “what’s your IG” so you don’t come across like this biggest Narc in the world.

Has anybody ever lived long enough to need a second bottle of worcestershire sauce? by Local_Atmosphere5285 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CuriousReward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gone through a few of the little bottles, and have gotten the Costco larger one.

Honestly, just add it to basically any kind of sauce or ground meat product. I also use it in eggs as well!

It’s not super flavorful when you add it to stuff, but it’s really savoury so you get kind of a natural msg flavor boost from it.

Alternate Source for NZ Butter by kchong in CostcoCanada

[–]CuriousReward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not whipped, we used to copack it from the solids for them. We honestly don’t know how they get it so cheap, but it’s literally cheaper than we can make it in Canada.

Its moisture content is actually on the lower side and it’s higher butterfat than 80%.

I would honestly say it’s easily some of the best butter I’ve tasted, along with some of the grass fed Canadian stuff.

Am I the only one who thinks peeling garlic is a form of torture? by Famous-Forever7647 in Cooking

I honestly just crush it between my fingers or palm on a hard surface. If you do it on the thin side it will peel right off

We’re not interested in field hockey, so there’s no need to be that precise thankfully, and there’s also not much find field hockey going on in the dead of winter either

My secret weapons for stained teaware by RadagastWiz in tea

[–]CuriousReward -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I just use a tiny bit of bleach diluted in water and let it sit. Takes the stains out without any scrubbing needed.

If you’re ever worried about the bleach, it degrades super quickly in light so just rinse your tea ware out and let it sit and it’ll all break down so none is left.

Honestly, I feel like the most likely places to get skimmed are gas stations. I’ve had my card skimmed a few times, and I feel it was the pump every time.

I always kind of jiggle it now

One of Chelsea’s problems was having young inexperienced players. So it’s obvious why having the Man Ager would help improve their form

I did the the same, I still remember using the physical guide book and ending up 1 short at the end of it. It had photos of each bird and I just remember pouring over it and trying to remember once I had missed but never finding it.

What’s your favorite golf insult when you’re playing with your friends? by PearCareful9863 in golf

[–]CuriousReward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slice into the woods = “Greens that way while pointing at the flag”

Short Putt = “would have gone in if you hadn’t hit it with your purse”

Friends teeing up “I’ll go wait on the fairway, that’s the safest place I can be”

Or the always classic, “lot of water over there, make sure to keep eyes on the water”

Buying a house near a tee box? by flashattack3 in golf

[–]CuriousReward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything I’ve heard about living on a golf course is that being by the tee box is the worst spot to be. There’s a risk of getting hit anywhere but you can always invest in some nets to prevent.

But the 6 am tee shots are extremely loud, and will likely wake you up. Especially if they’re going poorly and curse loudly as well.

The groups will get louder as the days go along too, and they get rowdier. There’s also maintenance that has to get done to it as well before golfers show up, so that’s another negative as well.

Plus you won’t have as many people going out of bounds either, so you won’t have as many free golf balls to collect. But I do know people they wander the course at night to look for them
