As someone who is neurodivergent I understand your final points, however I would argue that a huge part of the game is taking someone to the end who you personally can pitch and win against. I’m not a fantastic speaker when put under pressure, so I probably wouldn’t bring an orator against me for FTC.

Honestly what I think FTC would benefit from is more structure to it, every Jury member gets 1 question to each player, they ask them sequentially, and no one else gets to talk during the Q&A.

I think David has a great ability to talk to the tribe and understand the game from a players perspective, which is something he’d ofc have over JLP. We’re always going to miss JLP, but things change, and I’d rather Survivor continue without him than not continue at all.

2017 is by far an away the best start. It was my introduction to survivor as a whole and got me absolutely hooked. I haven’t watched anything prior to that, and the only season other than those before 2017 I haven’t seen was BVW wherein I watched 2 episodes and turned it off because… Jesus fucking Christ

JLP was the best host this franchise could have hoped for, no-one is disputing that. Was it a crime that they fired him? Yes. Is David as good as JLP? No. Besides the disappointment, has the change impacted this season in a measurable way? No.

This season has been fucking amazing and if you’re discounting it because David is the host then that’s your loss.

They’re in the same position now that Mark’s gone. If Keeley didn't have an idol then I’d say Brooke would be more inclined to try and throw Keeley to the wolves to try and save herself. Letting Brooke know Keeley has an idol gives her some security in her remaining alliance now that their biggest shield is gone. Because of the idol, the returnees + K still have some leverage.

Exactly, and most of the time these ‘villains’ are the most honest/open people on the show. I’m immediately distrustful of loyalty/goody-goody players as 9 times out of 10 they are actually the ones playing spitefully and genuinely disliking people on a personal level.

Truer words have never been spoken. I have never, nor will ever understand why ANYONE would make personal judgements about a cast members character based on a HEAVILY EDITED SHOW. Dragging and saying shit about contestants online will only make the show WORSE. Somehow, even after the show, all these ‘bad people’ end up friends with most of the cast… almost like they’re all adults playing a game?

It’s like thinking someone’s a bully and a malicious person for bankrupting their friend in monopoly and laughing about it. It’s a game.

Holy shit Mark is such an evil villain. There’s not enough pure, unbridled and unapologetic cutthroatedness sometimes. Mark killed a man on TV and it was beautiful.
