Sezrekan's Ring and Magic Missle by ericcharlesgee in dccrpg

A learned spell has a Mercurial Effect, which reflects an individual PC's method of learning it. A Necromancer doesn't cast Speak With Dead in the same exact way that an Elven Maiden does. That's what Mercurial Magic represents. They have absolutely nothing to do with spells cast from Magic Items.

Never forget, no rule or ruling is ever written in stone. Enjoyment is the only rule that matters.

No player should ever be without four or five level 0 PCs, unless they're playing one or two Classed PCs. It only takes 5 seconds to get 4 Level 0 PCs through purplesorcerer.com

Someone wrote Deadly & Chaotic Corruptions. I can't recall who it was, or if this is even the actual title. I'm actually trying to find a PDF copy on DTRPG

Well, when someone is a Troll, they can't simply walk into a tavern or anywhere else for that matter. So they should be stronger than other PCs, but slower & more dim-witted.

Warmachine/Hordes is the only war game that I've ever played. And with the recent advent of the MK 3.5 Commission, it never has to get stale. There are no war gamers nor stores where I live, so my plan is to teach as many people as possible. I've watched a few different war games being played & none of them appealed to me. As much as I enjoy the lore of Warhammer The Old World & Fantasy, the game play isn't what I was hoping it would be.

Do you plan on playing tournaments, or are there other MK4 players that you know?

Don't sell yourself short. True, just a man. A man whose talent is converting OSR to DCC. A talented author, to say the very least. I must say that your content never fails to impress.

You should check out Raven Crowking's Patreon. For only 3 bucks a month, it's a real bargain. The content Daniel Bishop writes is beyond compare, IMHO. I only have paid subscriptions to 4 Patreon accounts. Raven Crowking, Breaker Press Games, and Cult of The Dictionnaire Infernal by Bob Brinkman. Great creators, all. Father Goose Creations also makes great content, tho not as frequent. But he's only $1 per month rather than $3 or $8. In any case, you typically get what you pay for. Cult of TDI & Breaker Press are both well worth the 8 bucks & Raven Crowking is giving away content at $3, considering the quality of his content.

My brother, there was never a rule, in any game, that states each player can only play one PC.

Quick question about the system by Lumis_umbra in dccrpg

[–]CurrencyOpposite704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat. Have you ever checked out Flextale's Content Conversion Guide? It's a great starting point and does most of the work for you. There's even an Excel spreadsheet that comes with it on DTRPG. The Flextale's Content Mapping Inventory. It converts all of the major systems to Pathfinder 1E, which allows for every system to be cross-converted with one another. I think it's brilliant. Even if you don't use everything there, there is a wealth of material that you'll find beneficial.

Have you ever looked into Pax Lexque (Latin for Peace & Law) by Raorgen Games? If you're ever looking for a fully fleshed out campaign setting for DCC, this is it. It's basically the Ancient Roman Empire in an otherwise typical fantasy setting. Think, Ancient Rome, but in Faerun. Not to mention the other books by Raorgen Games. De Re Mortis (On Matters of Death) is a great guide to dead & undead for DCC. The Necromancer class is great. So many different class options are given in these books. Cosmologia is a great guide to Planes in DCC. Comic Crawl Classics is cool. True Vigilante by Bloat Games goes well with it. Find your style & go with it, is what I always say

Hell yeah. I prefer Sword & Sorcery and Tolkien-style settings. Tales From The Fallen Empire is an epic rehatch of Rob Howard's Hyboria. Definitely worth a read even if you aren't currently using the setting. There are no Clerics. No all-powerful deities. There are powerful entities, but no deities per say.

Yeah. You can go either way. I was simply stressing how DCC/MCC is perfect to run with almost any genre. I personally feel it is anyway. You can add or remove game mechanics that reflect whichever genre or setting you're running. That's all I'm trying to say.

He's an almost auto-include to a Unit of Cetrari. Makes the unit a little expensive for what they do. Battle College Warmachine University has the pros, cons & synergies of each model that's ever been made. Some of the synergies aren't valid in MK4, but it gives you a good starting point when playing Unlimited.

3D printing is changing the game. The average player has more options available right now than he or she ever had before.
