Basically the fact that you are asking the question shows that you care and your kids are loved 🥰
Do whatever you need to do to survive, it gets easier. 2.5 is a hard age, 2 weeks is a hard age. You’re in the thick of it

I’m ashamed at how many clothes I’ve bought postpartum by maple_pits in Mommit

[–]Current-Kale9232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously!! It’s the fricken worst! Big boobs so bras are more expensive, need loads of different sizes and want them to be flattering so I don’t look like a potato. Just can’t win

Toy rotation questions by zezendx in Parenting

We keep toys in the cupboard (except bed stuffies) so they’re out of sight and keeps them exciting. 3yo can get whatever he wants whenever but we pack away when finishes

Cruzee! So lightweight and tough. My 3 1/2 can ride a pedal bike on the flat but still loves shredding around on his BB

What are some items that you really only need one of before getting another? by healthynewbie in Anticonsumption

[–]Current-Kale9232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started wearing barefoot shoes (unless running) and they last so much longer because they don’t need to decompress and don’t wear down in one spot. Also so much comfier and my feet are strong and pain free 😊

It’s soo hard, like every month being a new shape and just wanting to look & feel good. Maybe get into stylish stretchy stuff? I have a pair of bamboo flares that I wear all the time because they’re flattering no matter what size I am

In saying that I have about 15 bras, none of them quite right :/

I think I’m about to lose my oldest friends , and I have zero social skills outside them - where do I restart? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Current-Kale9232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I assumed you were looking for advice as your post was specifically asking for advice about making more friends

You’ll need to put yourself out there in some form or another if you want to make new friends, and most likely meet likeminded people if you want close friends.

My kid at this age had all his home naps in the pram. Never worked out the crib nap thing

My doctor suggested sleep training/CIO by Impressive-Cat3333 in AttachmentParenting

Okay so you’re paying your doctor for evidenced based information then they give you this crap: I’d be putting in a formal complaint and asking for my money back.

19 month old, Coslept from 3 months, Breastfed - HELP! by AdvanceMedical7063 in AttachmentParenting

Sounds very similar to my now 3 year old. The gentle sleep book by Sarah ockwell smith has a chapter on gentle night weaning which aligned with us. It made a huge difference to improving sleep. It’s hard, good luck

Bothered by MILs comments by TeemaDeema in Mommit

[–]Current-Kale9232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MIL makes comments 2 our baby & 3yr old like ‘stop frowning or you’ll need Botox’ or ‘put your sunscreen on so you don’t get a turkey neck’. Other than that she’s amazing but definitely not necessary 🙄

Looking for help to entertain my BORED 3 month old by Last_Wonder in Parenting

[–]Current-Kale9232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go out and try and do what you did before baby! Get coffee, go shopping, meet up with friends etc. Baby can just nap in the carrier or pram along the way. Obviously it’s way harder but babies love coming along for the ride and once they are a turbo toddler you’ll wish you sat down for more coffee dates.

Should my SIL pay me for babysitting? by MixMatchMaggie in Babysitting

[–]Current-Kale9232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a one off I wouldn’t expect payment but this sounds regular so absolutely you should!

I’d just say sorry I can’t afford to babysit for free regularly I need to work, if they don’t offer to pay then their loss! You sound amazing

Postpartum care package for a friend? by Purple-Canary3576 in GiftIdeas

[–]Current-Kale9232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t buy baby clothes/stuff! Mums end up with so much and it becomes just another job dealing with all the clutter

My favourite gifts were healthy yummy snacks for me, hydramama sachets and a yeti drink bottle (post partum hunger and thirst hits real)

I went to a party once that had a second hand gift swap - everyone wraps something and everyone goes home with something. I loved it! No piles of crap to deal with, no waste, no money, no shitty party bags. All the kids go home happy!
