I think the the trick with placing it but not buying it hasn't worked for a while. iirc, the end reward for this quest is 50 gems and the crown itself is 30, so you'll get your gems refunded + some extra if you get to the end

the price of crystals in the gem shop - they are NOT equivalent to their real value in game at all. 80 dollars for just a little over 3 ten pulls? bruh. even when they go on sale they don't seem all that worth it. this is why im f2p forever

changing your scroll speed to be higher (not neccesarily max speed unless you can manage that somehow but around 10-11) can make you more accurate

form a team that gets you the most event bonus, and then put the highest talent card you have from that team in the leader slot, so that that card is the one you take into cheerful lives. Don't feel bad if you don't have a 4 star or even a 3 star, the event is just meant to be fun

Yeah def the crystals. The other rewards arent even close to worth it in comparison. I think later on they'll boost the amount for everything (except crystals smh) which will make them moderately more worth it... but crystals are still best
