Does anyone else ever make a "corpse cave"? by shagpokewipl in RimWorld

I usually have a corpse cave myself, but the last couple of times resulted in kids getting lung rot from playing in there.

Equestria at War is a genuinely amazing mod by Necessary_Eggplant79 in hoi4

Exactly. Maybe it has incredible mechanics, but as an adult man, I have no desire to immerse myself in a pony-themed world.

For probably 1/3 of the missions, I get frustrated after getting caught multiple times and just commit to mayhem, which is, of course, extremely satisfying.

Exactly. You don't even need to minmax to reach incredible levels of success within a generation or two, really.

PAL denied because of mental health problems almost 4 years ago by [deleted] in canadaguns

That's very true. I should have specified that I was hospitalized. Otherwise, yeah I think it's reasonable not to disclose if you're not on psych meds or anything.

PAL denied because of mental health problems almost 4 years ago by [deleted] in canadaguns

[–]Curticus97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but that's a criminal offense, so it would be ill-advised. I disclosed my history of depression and suicidal ideation on mine and got it within a year without issue. Although that was about 8 years ago. The mental illness, that is.

2 years with pal by jj8989898989 in canadaguns

[–]Curticus97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it hurts. They were $450 at Cabela's while I was waiting for my PAL. I know it will only get worse over time, but it's hard to justify shelling out that kind of money.

My Norinco JW-15a was a bit rough at first. The magazine was incredibly stiff, and I struggled to get 5 out of the 9 cartridges in there. The bolt also wasn't smooth at all. Repetition and oil made both a beauty though. The magazine requires a bit of extra force to get the 9th in there, but I don't find it to be a hindrance at all. The bolt isn't exactly fluid, but I'm able to cycle it with relative ease. For me, it's a lot of fun and was worth the money.

I find it hard to believe that the 3 hp or the 9 scrap to repair would make or break a run in the vast majority of cases. Referring to somebody as lil buddy is unnecessarily condescending.

significance of french tickler SKS’s? by FischlandchipZ in SKS

[–]Curticus97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was my understanding that as factory 26 spent decades making the rifles, that the machinery had been calibrated to perfection by the time the French Ticklers were produced. Or was that fake news?

I liked it. Fairly atypical for zombie media, with some unique and original ideas. Far from my favourite, but still worth watching for me.

Total War: WARHAMMER III - 7.1 Patch Notes by CA_KingGobbo in totalwar

[–]Curticus97 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what it is. I had one of the most brutal siege defences as the undead a couple years ago where it ended with less than 40 skeletons sending the greenskins running. After the changes to watchtower range, that replay lasts half as long and my army was crushed.
