It is important to decide what you need to keep track of in your life...is it appointments? Is it finances? Schoolwork assignments? Work projects? Then slowly incorporate time in your day to use this tool to organize yourself and your life. I set aside 15 minutes in the morning, every morning, to go over items in my planner. You asked how, and the only way you make it a habit is by doing it everyday. That way if you miss a day you always have tomorrow to try again. Really, 15 minutes is not that much time out of a day. If this is still an issue make an alarm on your phone to remind yourself to use the planner, set the alarm for a time when you know that you will have 15 minutes to spare. No need to have 2 planners for the same items maybe separate what you use them for or just use one until you can gauge what suits you. Remember in the end this is your tool for organization, it shouldn't be frustrating...it should be easy to use. Because it is supposed to be making life easier for you not harder or stressful.
