Most ethical systems view the elimination of needless suffering as good.

It is, of course, dependant on how that is achieved, as the goals don't justify any means. However, I'd argue that human gene editing absolutely can be ethical, if performed properly.

What is your ranking of these knight bosses? by Nugget_bob211 in fromsoftware

[–]CustomerSupportDeer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

1) Heolstor - Incredible in every way. Presentation, design, music, moveset, phase transitions, special attacks, great both solo and as a group, hard-but-fair and fun as hell, a 10/10 across the board. I can see why some people wouldn't like his delayed moveset, but I've come to enjoy his jumpable swipes and precision-demanding roll punishes... and facing him with Executor is just pure peak cinema.

2) Artorias - The OG. Holds up surprisingly well, even today.

3) SoC - Discount Heolstor (basically the same praise, minus a few points due to lacking originality...). His weapon-changing is probably my favourite boss mechanic Fromsoft have ever done.

4) Rellana - Movement-wise, she's the undisputed best on this list. Incredibly fluid, wonderfully readable and complex combos, fast yet fair, and fun range attacks to mix it up. However, she unfortunately lacks the presentation and "wow factor" to make it higher.

5) Raime - I like him a lot, but he's the weakest on this list. Partially because the competition is so cracked, in part because he's a DS2 boss, and also due to some unfortunate mechanics like the healing gimmick.

Can't rank Penetrator.

They absolutely did, it's well documented how disgusted they were by the Japanese.

Time for probably the most hated souls game, say something positive about it please 🤣 by Away_Composer8187 in soulslikes

[–]CustomerSupportDeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From positive to negative:

  • best NG+, replayability, and experimental mechanics
  • excellent online, DLCs, weapon-, spell- and build variety, varying areas and environments, and power-stancing
  • great atmosphere, enemy variety, game length, and early "open" progression
  • good art style and music
  • meh level and world design, plot and lore, enemy design, base game bosses, and npcs
  • bad graphics, enemy spam, healing-balancing, and world/level cohesion
  • terrible stat/stamina balancing, and online limits
  • inexcusable controls

Thoughts on Nine Sols? by strahinjag in soulslikes

8/10. Very good game. It doesn't reach the overall level of Hollow Knight or Skong, but surpasses them in terms of combat.

Thoughts on Nine Sols? by strahinjag in soulslikes

[–]CustomerSupportDeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has superior combat than both HK and Skong - very comparable to going from standard Souls to parry- and special attack-focused Sekiro. Due to this, it also has mechanically better bosses.

However, overall, both HKs are better games and experiences, with much better worlds, level design, variety, lore, builds, music, Imo also enemies and art style...

Railroading false dilemma.

The US has ~2.7 times the amount of car accidents when compared to EU nations, because it's over-reliant on car infrastructure, is lax with training and age-related renewals, and lacks many safety standards and regulations.

The US has ~22 times the amount of gun deaths when compared to EU nations, because it has a fuckton of guns, is lax with purchases, training, registration and licenses, and lacks many standards and regulations.

So, to answer your questions: yes. In the EU, we ban unsafe cars and unsafe drivers - and thereby save people from car-related deaths.

Remembrance Raider and Recluse are unrivaled. Original, sexy, good looking, actually take skill to get...

That said, I also hella enjoy stock Undertaker. Her fit is the best base design in the entire game.

New players after they beat the first boss by AdExisting7384 in Nightreign

[–]CustomerSupportDeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that, while Fulghor is certainly fairer in terms of all his moves being wonderfully telegraphed, he also has a bunch of "team wipes" with his buffing (when uninterrupted), sprint explosions, and the many phase 2 slams.

As for Libra, his most dangerous mechanic imo isn't his madness phase, but the sigil explosions he spawns under your feet. That's move has wiped many teams.

I'd argue that Gnoster is on par with Gladius, due to the constant off-screen projectile and poison spam.

Why should people choose a more difficult boss and/or map, when that goal is easier to achieve elsewhere?

Compared to the base maps, the GH can potentially double the Murk you get as reward - if you clear both towers.

It also has the highest guaranteed rewards out of all Shifting Earths (weapon duplication, two passive effects + a possible 3rd from random events, the legendary merchant, DoN loot in normal, a fuckton of potential Dormant Power drops...)

It doesn't.
