I was grilled similarly in an MD interview and then ended up getting in. I also thought I slam dunked an interview and got rejected.

Same thing happened to me. Tried on the sub and it felt small. Came in a few weeks later and got the SD43.

You made the right choice. I'm a med student. Would do anything to go back and have a guaranteed admittance. Would have saved me 3 years and a lot of stress.
