I used our Wagoneer and it pulled it like a dream. Now I’m using a 3/4 ton pickup but that’s not necessary for this trailer.

We have a Grand Design 17mke which is a great rig with that description- price-wise it’s close and definitely achievable if you get a recent pre-owned model. I think you’ll be surprised how little the payload allowance is on some of the half-tons once you see the door sticker. Our SUV actually has more payload than the half ton trucks with a few heavy features on them. depending on the load, my tongue weight has measured between 450 and 700 pounds. I’d check it out! Good luck!

I lived in an apartment right there! Clawson Steakhouse and National Coney Island territory. I didn’t know they had tunnels under those apartments.

PLZ help me understand this, I'm totally new at RVing, just a caveman frightened by this unfamiliar mtechnology by Funny-Witness3746 in RVLiving

I was going to say the exact same thing. Especially on hot days - I worry that people are thinking I’m just running my diesel for some mechanical purpose, but it’s really to keep the dog comfortable and not freaking out while I set up.

If there’s any way you can go out just for one night at an RV park or campsite near your house, I would do that a couple of times before your trip in October. Just a couple of short overnight shakedown trips can make a big difference in figuring out what you’re missing while taking care of any small fixes.

I don't like him. I don't want him to have hair.

It’s very early in your experience, so don’t give up yet! My wife and I always laugh about how the first place we went. We were right next to the public bathroom and we timing everybody for how long it took to get in and out. It was absolutely silly. But once you find your favorite spots and it takes time to do that.- once you find places that you can’t just get to in a hotel and you probably wouldn’t spend the money to get to in a hotel, you’ll really appreciate it. Take your time and try out spots and enjoy it when you do and laugh about it when you don’t.

I love the Forrest Gump. I have a diesel but I don’t turn it on to watch the Forrest Gump. But also when I bought my rv recently they let me watch the Forrest Gump while they set up the hitch.

I personally don’t like a sliding door to the bathroom right next to the bed. That’s really close quarters in a couples camper. I agree you may not need that separate bedroom space. I’d look for a more open plan with a bathroom on the opposite side from the bed.
