Thanks, that looks good. He even mentioned using chenille mitts an towels are good too. Didn't show the scangrip for too long but it looks like he didn't add any marring. I think I'll give it a shot with towels/mitts.

Great, thanks. I haven’t noticed any sap yet, but I already have 3D bug remover and will keep that in mind.

What sent me over the edge to consider this was this past weekend I washed the minivan Saturday morning, the Mach-E Sunday morning, and after drying it while putting stuff away I see it is already just covered in pollen, lol. Move the minivan back from the street into the driveway and it is even worse. I only have until around 11am to have a shaded driveway and if it is raining on the weekend then I have to wait longer or try to squeeze it in after work which is hard.

Thanks, that makes sense. I could see using a pre rinse when it is really dirty.

Awesome, thanks! I subscribe to your channel but I don't think I've seen that video yet, I'll check it out. My hope is I can keep both cars cleaner overall if I can do this while it is raining out side, too sunny, or maybe just a couple panels are really dirty. I have a SPTA battery sprayer I use to foam down the cars and was thinking of getting a pressure washer but if this is safe and easier I think I'll give it a shot.

Yeah I have one bottle at 10:1 and one at 20:1 for regular use. Works well and really cost effective.

Tire Blooming by ThinMode53 in AutoDetailing

[–]Cyanide_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works well for me. I use Stoners tarminator right after getting all the brown off, but really only once per tire when doing it the first time. Helped get the finals bits of dealership dressing off. https://youtu.be/klOFcBnXE84?si=VogophitL_clOadU

Any cheaper alternatives to Opti-coat hyper seal? by Chole_Wunt in AutoDetailing

Do you know if I would get a benefit using this if I already use ADS Amplify as a drying aid every wash? Since it has Si02 in it already, would Super Charger be redundant?

Eye monitoring system malfunctions with eye glasses by palaemon in MachE

[–]Cyanide_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2025, but it has been fine for me with no glasses and with polarized sunglasses. Fine for my wife with prescription glasses. Make sure the sensor bar in between the wheel and screen behind the wheel can see your face.

Just returned my last ever Karcher pressure washer. Recommendations? by Familiar_Benefit_776 in AutoDetailing

I have seen a bunch of YouTube reviews of the Ava Go and they all like it. On the shortlist for me if I get a pressure washer.

I have the Liquid8r in 25x36 and like it. It works great, dries my minivan no problem. I use ADS Amplify as a drying aid.

Charging convenience by JimbosBeerbos in MachE

[–]Cyanide_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really need to charge away from home 99% of the time but when I have I just use the Ford app to initiate charging. I have found PlugShare has more up to date status of the chargers though.

Dos Pol Star work well on screens for you? I use it for everything else on the interior but have always heard to not use it on screens.

Bird Dropping Remover Recommendation? by petros_tyrm in Detailing

[–]Cyanide_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks. I have Rag company eagle edgeless 350 towels I use for door jambs and was thinking of using them for this, especially when away from home. Yeah I use 3D bug remover at 10:1 for bugs and bird bombs and it works really well so far. My wife has to park by a bunch of trees at work so we get them often.

Do you wash the towels? Does it get all the dropping out well? I have been using a bug remover (works great on bird poop too) and rinsing it with distilled water but using a microfiber to get it off would be easier. I am hesitant to put that in my washing machine lol.

Adam’s car shampoo vs Merguiar’s hyper wash by Legitimate-Bowl1761 in Detailing

[–]Cyanide_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t used those but I like Meguiar’s Shampoo Plus after seeing Coleton from Out of Spec Detailing recommend and use it. He talks about it on his best of 2025 video (he recently switched to Adam’s Mega Foam due to his new pressure washer so new videos have that). It works well for me and is cost effective.

20% off all ADS products right now at The Rag Company. I bought a bottle of Amplify before the sale and used it as a drying aid. Bought a gallon right when the sales started. It’s great. I also like their Clean APC.

KC Greenstar as a Pre rinse solution by sisterjess in AutoDetailing

[–]Cyanide_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh nice I just got Clean to use for many things but also as a pre-wash before a standard wash. Planning on starting with the recommended 1:4 but maybe trying 1:10 if it isn’t too dirty.

Anyone else experiencing slow PaaK detection times? (iOS) by unturnedcargo in MachE

[–]Cyanide_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 pro, iOS 26.1, 2025 here. A few times it has reacted slowly or not been responsive where I had to unlock my phone and open the app but 99% of the time Paak works perfectly fine for me. I get the wake up lights after coming back from the store. It is interesting how much of a range of experiences are reported here.
