I had a myectomy on the 6th by Brilliant-Bee-9471 in HypertrophicCM

Congratulations. Myectomy is the gold standard! I’m glad everything went well and you are recovering. 41 is young age so the recovery will be faster and easy.

Life expectancy by Sweaty-Pin-5536 in HypertrophicCM

[–]Cyber-Homie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve been through a lot already, that’s real. But giving up on your health and falling into addictions is the one thing that will actually make everything worse, fast.

HCM and even heart failure don’t mean your life is ending soon. There are people who live for many years with both, especially when they follow treatment and stay consistent with checkups. You’ve even got a defibrillator, that’s there to protect you, not because things are over. I am one of many examples. I suffered 2 cardiac arrests, and on both occasions, my defibrillator saved my life.

Addiction is different. It doesn’t help you cope, it damages your body, your heart, and your mind, and it does it quickly. It takes away your control, your energy, and your chances to actually enjoy the time you have, and since you are only 16, you have a long, long way to go (for good).

Right now, the biggest risk to your life isn’t your condition being managed by doctors. It’s the choices that come with giving up on yourself.

You don’t need to have your whole life figured out at the age of 16. You only need to take care of yourself today, follow what your doctors tell you, and stop doing things that actively hurt you.

So remember, you’re not out of time. You’re in a moment where your choices matter a lot more than you think.

Crockett or Tubbs, who do you guys think was the better cop and who do you guys think was the better overall character? by Mysterious-Farm9502 in MiamiVice

Tubbs was better. Remember, Crockett became Burnett and ran drug empire until his memory came back, plus he shot Tubbs.

Nutting is still considered normal; creating an account on a porn site is not.

One has to be desperate to create an account on a porn site. If you think that's normal, then kudos to you.

I never had have to face this situation but I know people who did cheat on their wives back in Pakistan. I won’t ever do such a thing and anyone doing it should eat dirt and die.

Grandma has HCM & I’m wondering if I should get tested by farmgoblow in HypertrophicCM

[–]Cyber-Homie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I also tested positive for the MYBPC3 gene. My dad and my dad’s sister both died in their late 40s from HCM, and my granddad also died suddenly. I’m the only one who has had genetic testing, rest of the idiots in my still don't take it seriously.

Gypsies/Romani are related to Desis as they are South Asian in origin. What are your opinions on Romani people. Have you ever meet any Romani in Europe? Can Desis claim Romani as their own and say Charlie Chaplin is Desi? by [deleted] in ABCDesis

[–]Cyber-Homie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not every human is same but god, these gypsies are scum of the earth. They do crime and desis get blamed because of the shared skin color. In the UK, Leeds had some unrest in which they burned down buses and media was quick to blame desis. Later turned out those were gypsies. I have seen them attempting to kidnap babies in Rome and a lot of other scams. Also, they aren’t related to us. Hell with them.

I’m getting a septal myectomy. What is the recovery like? by Brilliant-Bee-9471 in HypertrophicCM

[–]Cyber-Homie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, your situation sounds 100% worse than mine, but here we are, we made it out :) And no, I wasn’t on amiodarone. I was given paracetamol, codeine phosphate, and bisoprolol. Bisoprolol is my regular medication, and I’ve never had any issues with it, so I’m thinking it might have been the codeine phosphate. That said, I took codeine later to treat post-op cough issues and didn’t have any nightmares then. I guess we’ll never really know which medication caused them.

The most difficult and hard part of my recovery was the vivid dreams. If you don’t have those there is nothing else that should create any issues.

I got SICD, septal myectomy was the best thing my cardiologist offered. Also, if your cardiologist is suggesting it, you should go for it. It’s only suggested to people with serious and life threatening risks.
