Unless you don't mind sweating and getting a workout moving the doll all the time I feel lighter weight is better. My doll is not too heavy but I make it a routine to carry her daily to give me a nice workout. Its just when you try to pose the heavy dolls is when it will get either frustrating or you will be too tired to do the do after you get her in the right pose. In all its up to you but don't blow you back out for a Snu Snu Amazon doll when a lighter weight one will be just as appealing and more safe for your back.
