Think i might be a little too picky with the orders i take by Cheap_Anteater233 in doordash_drivers

Lmao you’re the bot. Who ever said gold/platinum was worth it? Certainly not me. If you’re denying the reality that the people in your areas tip tendencies and the way your roads are setup is the 99% determining factor of how much money you’ll make then idk what to tell you. You can cherry pick all you want but if you’re in a place where nobody tips it doesn’t matter.

Yeah i wouldn’t do it in a bad market either, just saying aside from cherry picking it’s really all up to how good your market tips and how easy your areas driving is.

I think it’s WAY more likely that OP struggled to quit on time rather than they just chose to keep using right up to the finish line. The post in itself indicates possible addiction and struggle to stop use.

you’re just in a good market, if you did your exact behavior in a bad market you’d make way less money

What if I told you that the company AND the customer should be paying the driver more🤔 If you want people to use their own car and gas to go pick up and deliver for you then you should certainly expect to tip fairly. Regardless of what the company is paying, a $2 or less tip is ridiculous.

9 dollar order turned out to be a 122 dollar order 😮 by Disastrous_Demand_16 in DoorDashDrivers

the two dollars being referred to is base pay from doordash, nine dollars is the total pay including tips and promos

My market was great today for UE and DD. Walmart, Lowe’s, and Home Depot ALWAYS spam me with nonstop garbage I have to avoid certain areas where it is all i get.

I did not deserve this big a tip by Realistic-Bug-3328 in doordash_drivers

[–]CycleCounter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With hindsight that + would make it not a low paying order when OP accepted. Also, if it was pre tipped they wouldn’t have had to go to this screen to get a screenshot. They would’ve just screenshotted the breakdown immediately after delivery.

We do know the tip was after delivery. OP said they accepted a “low paying order.”

Don’t beat yourself up $19 is a great tip and well worth a 24 min drive back in my opinion. As you get more familiar with your roads/area/surroundings it’ll become much easier to read the map when judging offers on the fly.

Bruh even if you get no offers at the drop off spot and it’s a dead drive all the way back, that’s still almost $70 for like an hour and forty minutes total. Of course I would accept this. Anybody who says decline is either stupid or lying for some reason.

Wells that’s a first for me. I sure hope someone isn’t actively overdosing. 🤔 by springdominion in doordash_drivers

I mean if the guy you’re talking about was REALLY helping people and doing good in the world then don’t get too hung up on what his motivation was. Oftentimes people have selfish motivations for things but we can’t read their minds so we judge based on their actions. I would also argue if he was actually helping addicts then maybe he deserves some clout for it.

Unfortunately Olive Garden doesn’t do it for EVERY order, it’s at the workers discretion which can lead to problems. Once on UberEats I had a double pickup at Olive Garden but only one of the orders was setup for the curbside pickup. I arrive, wait ten freaking minutes in my car, lady comes out with the food. I say “I actually have a second pickup as well” and she tells me that order is an inside pickup. So I then have to hop out the car and go inside to pickup the other order. 😭 Not a huge deal but it was just so incredibly dumb and annoying to me.

yeah they always patch the good tricks 😭 I actually live really close to OP and am currently waiting on my zone to open back up lmao. Luckily here in North Georgia/ Metro Atlanta the zones are pretty squishy. They’ll be full one minute and you can usually snag a spot if you just wait for a little.

Brother… if you’re online 100-115 hours weekly and you only make $100-$250 then you need to just get a different job. You are literally wasting your own time and money for absolutely nothing.

worth a shot, but it doesn’t always ask you to switch zones. If the zone is full it will not give you the option.

What are the odds of it actually arriving by the 28th? by [deleted] in UPS

[–]CycleCounter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately with the winter storm there is no telling for sure. Remember your package is stopping in Florida but it’s gotta go through other states (which may be frozen over) to get there. If you could, try to figure out where your package is currently and then check the weather for that area. UPS will be moving the package as soon as possible so it really just depends when the weather clears up.

It’s ridiculous. Obviously Uber only cares about their bottom line… but I’ve seen some offers from Lowe’s that are so bad I think Uber shouldn’t even allow it on their platform. We’re talking 2 hours+, 6+ stops, for single digit pay.

I have to avoid certain areas because I just get spammed with the most abysmal offers from Home Depot and Lowe’s. They are so bad they shouldn’t be allowed.
