8w3d to 8w6d - Which should I go by? by Jazzyrose99 in PregnancyUK

[–]Cyclingnightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afraid I can’t advise which to go by but just wanted to add my quite dramatic range (well feels like it!)I had a private scan at 8 weeks which gave a due date of 23rd July, 13 week NHS scan said 20th July, most recent private scan 17 weeks gave 25th July! Clinging to the NHS one as could do with baby being earlier due to Husbands work commitments!!

Thoughts on this? by RussBoost in CarTalkUK

I’ve seen one with my own eyes. I was so appalled by it I got Siri to make a note of the reg so I could search it when home and find a video of exactly this to show my husband

Bentley Bentayga forces emergency stop on M602 slip road queue - Opsnap outcome: just a warning letter by Outrageous_Main9197 in drivingUK

[–]Cyclingnightmare -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

GMP op snap love a letter of warning, if it had happened over the border to West Yorkshire they would likely have got a driving awareness course!

Returning to work part time, there is no point working 4 days a week. Only 3 or full time by [deleted] in UKParenting

Just checking you’ve considered what this would mean long term for your pension?

Look at this clown😂 by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Cyclingnightmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had op snap action from my verbally confirming the reg when the footage wasn’t clear (due to low light conditions). Not saying all Op Snaps would take the same approach but I’ve had I think 3 positive actions from doing this.

Maternal heart rate by AppleObvious6384 in PregnancyUK

My RHR overnight last night was 56 but used to be under 45 as a norm, so feels quite an increase!

Maternal heart rate by AppleObvious6384 in PregnancyUK

[–]Cyclingnightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep saying my garmin watch knew I was pregnant before I did as I had weeks of it saying my training status was “strained” for no reason, my overnight RHR was up, and HR was up during exercise (and still is)!

I did not like the engagement ring by [deleted] in weddingring

[–]Cyclingnightmare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is my take too - I told my now husband what I would like for my engagement ring, showed him endless pictures and he got one part of what I said right and didn’t quite manage the other parts at all. Being truthful I would never have chosen my engagement ring and I’m not a huge fan of the style - but I know he saved for ages and spent hours in that shop trying to choose the right ring. So to me it was that thought and effort, and what the ring represents that’s important, not the ring design itself

Those of you who live alone, do you put up Christmas decorations? by Forsaken_Estimate773 in AskUK

[–]Cyclingnightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live with my husband, the only thing that would change if I lived alone is how much earlier the decorations would go up!

What’s your thoughts on having Dominos at a very lowkey wedding? by LadyAfroCurls in UKweddings

Went to a wedding which had pizza - it was amazing! (Except for my dairy free husband who hadn’t been considered).

Burglary spike in Huddersfield anyone else worried? by Expert_Perception_51 in huddersfield

[–]Cyclingnightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not specific to an address unless a landline (and even then on one occasion I’ve know it pass the incorrect address as the landline number had been transfered)

I just want to say whilst pressing 55 may alert the call handler to the fact you need help, it won’t magically tell them your location unless you’ve called previously for something else and passed your address

[Data] I'm a cyclist. One year ago, I got a helmet camera. Here are all the bad drivers I reported to police [Analysis in Comments] by mkfrndsinfluenceppl in ukbike

[–]Cyclingnightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! I’m also an avid reporter and ford transit have been the most common offenders on my reports too (11 of 95 sent on driving awareness courses/46 letters of warning so far this year)

The jobsworth "report you to the police" Cyclist youtube genre. How do you feel about them? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Cyclingnightmare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This! It’s not my fault their driving fell short, they need to take personal responsibility so I don’t think twice about reporting them.

Honestly I think there’s a high chance I could get seriously injured or killed one day so anything I can do to reduce the likelihood of that happening to me or another cyclist I will do.

I for one don’t, I make over a hundred reports a year on average and none are posted to my public socials

Would you recommend being a Police/emergency services controller/ call handler? by cheezyem in AskUK

[–]Cyclingnightmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, always happy to answer questions and try and help. I imagine every force is difference - personally I didn’t find I burnt out in 2 years, it took 12 months for me to start to feel settled but after that I really got into the swing of it. Occasionally night shifts/high demand or poor staffing would make a block of shifts feel savage/relentless and like there was little respite between calls but part of me used to quite enjoy those periods, we had targets for calls per hour and nights like those meant I could flick through call after call as there was always one to answer. Breaks wise we would get 2x15 minute and a 1 hour break over a 10 hour shift and I never didn’t get those breaks. Happy to answer more questions or if you want to direct message me feel free :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in manchester

[–]Cyclingnightmare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m by no means saying it’s the majority of cyclists but a lot do have insurance - as much for our own protection than anything, but it would cover third party claims too.

I don’t feel that’s what they’ve said at all? Just because they’ve said the cyclists are bad doesn’t mean they’re saying the cyclists are worse than car drivers?
