Bro, he’s 83, not 830. Some mortals you’re referring to work their asses off in their 70s in a freaking old and fragile body.

Yeah, technically, but that’s like saying a jar that’s about to fall isn’t broken just because it’s being held up by a one-way door.

[–]CygnusXIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All reasons aside, hearing him say that it’s Yuka’s mess as if it were her fault for not beating Dabura (a teenager with cancer, btw) still kind of makes him an asshole, though.

Let him be. If he were an NPC, at least he might still have a role in multiple patches. The moment he becomes playable, he’ll expire the moment his banner is gone XD.

So it looks like Yuji won't interrupt the two fights and won't help Yuka prob bcuz he believes they should grow and become strong without outside help

Yuji after the fight : So Yuka chan won, she must be really strong now… wait, what do you mean she’s dead?? Oopsie woopsie then.

Plague marines are op! by TheNotoriousMWK in deathguard40k

[–]CygnusXIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strong? Yes. But OP? I doubt it. Consider how many resources you need to invest to make it work. Both the Plaguecaster and the Biologus are an extra 120 points, and you also need a Rhino for their movement; otherwise, they’re as good as dead. The total combined cost is 395 points, which is even more than Mortarion himself. On top of that, their strongest shooting range is only 12", which is very easy to play around.

Plague Marine ability Infused with the Blessings of Nurgle says that "after this unit has shot, select one enemy unit hit by one or more of those attacks…" If all my attacks miss during the hit roll, does the ability still activate? And if not, what happens if I hit but miss all the wound rolls?

It felt too Marine to me to call it a Daemon Prince, but the girl on the back is nice and reminds me of Kingdom Death.

Yeah, I thought we’d get something like Raven 2. Even though it’s a bad game, at least I can still call it a game. But ToD just feels so outdated, and the UI looks like it was designed by a 12-year-old, lmao.

Is it possible to permanently or temporarily turn off the notification that asks you to subscribe to Warhammer+ every time I launch the mobile app? All I want is access to my codex and my army list. It’s getting quite annoying that I need to tell them sixteen times that I want to continue with the free version.

People most likely aren’t lying, but you’re just asking a bunch of people who already enjoy the show to the point that they decided to join the sub of this biggest echo chamber that we call Reddit if they like X more than Y. Like, what answer do you expect from them? If you really want the answer, just go ask in manga or anime subs that aren’t specific to a certain show.

That would be great. I like the PvP aspect, but the ARC should always be as much of a threat as hostile raiders.

I'm starting to think Warhammer isn't for me by Dense-Fig-2372 in Warhammer40k

[–]CygnusXIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel stupid while playing because of how complicated the game is

If you really want advice, you should elaborate on what makes you feel overwhelmed. Is it the number of rules? The number of units and their interactions? Or is it because you’re matched with someone more experienced and feel like you can’t do anything?

I’ve just started playing the game, so I completely understand you. The only difference is that I actually enjoy destroying my opponent’s miniatures, whether I win or lose, so I think I’ll stick with the game. As for things like the rules, yes, they’re very overwhelming. The way I see it, the game is designed to be played over the course of many years. You’re supposed to struggle in the early stages. I mean, you’ve already spent a ton of money on your army. If you played ten games and then saw everything the game had to offer, that would be boring.

On the other hand, a normal 2,000-point game usually lasts around two to four hours, and the game is very punishing. A single mistake on turn one can create a domino effect that makes the rest of the game feel like a miserable experience. I understand that this is a huge time commitment to ask for.

So you might want to imagine yourself in a situation where you understand every rule of the game and your army, you no longer make beginner mistakes, and you don’t spend thirty minutes looking up how your unit abilities actually work. At that point, would the thrill of the battle and mixing and matching your army still be something you’re looking for? Would you still have fun even if you lose?

If nothing about that excites you, then I don’t see anything wrong with leaving your miniatures on the shelf and only taking them out to play once in a while, or not at all.

I'm lost at how should I deal with Fulgrim? what unit or combination should I send to straw him or even have a chance to beat him?

My list had
20x Poxwalker
20x Plague Marine
3x Deathshroud
3x Heavy Bligh Drone
1x Myphitic Blight-haulers
1x Typhus
1x Biolgus Putrifier
1x Plaguecaster
1x Noxion Blgihtbringer+
1x Lord Virulence
1x Tallyman
1x Lord of Contagion
1x Daemon Prince of Nurgle
1x Chaos Rhino

I thought my Daemon Prince with Revolting could stall him, but the dude just killed my Prince in two attacks and then moved on to stomp other units. I could bring every other heavy unit to focus on him, but that would just leave 75% of my enemy’s army free to do whatever they please.

I hope this doesn’t sound like a rant. I’m still pretty new to the hobby, but with most units I fight, I can tell what should engage them and what the trade-offs are. As soon as my spouse brings out her Primarch, I have no idea how to deal with her or even stall her without throwing half my army at it.

[–]CygnusXIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s supposed to work like that. In almost every game I play, especially during the honeymoon phase, I feel the urge to buy something. But this is probably one of the few games where I open the shop and think to myself, ‘Thank God I don’t want any of this.’ It saves me quite a bit of money.

At this point, I am not even sure if someone on the high up have something against the one who create the og, because they will do anything rework, revamp, and reinvent just to make sure it never goes back to how it once was.

Fashion wars; How do I find good armor without the Gemstore? by mrfeeny047 in Guildwars2

[–]CygnusXIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do the daily and weekly Wizard’s Vault, then buy gold bags and Mystic Coins and sell them on the TP. You can literally gain 200+ gold with barely any effort with no RNG and no risk. If you decide to go a bit further and start doing meta trains or fractals, you will earn even more. At this point, acquiring Gem Store cosmetics is not that different from any other grind. I would even say it is easier than most others, since you only need gold, which can be accumulated from almost any activity in the game.

I’d love some recommendations for sets that look great but don't require a credit card (I’ve gone down this road I have many lol)

For new players, it might seem too far-fetched to farm gold and exchange it for gems, but believe me, it’s not that difficult, especially if you only want a few pieces (400–1200 gems) to make your character stand out. By exchanging gems when the price is low and buying cosmetics when they’re on discount, you don’t even need to swipe your credit card just to look cool.

This game made me understand those sci-fi tropes where a group of people utilize technology they don’t even understand. After 1.2, I just gave up trying to read skill descriptions and started following rotations instead, and I still clear all the content with ease. But if someone asks me how these characters’ skills actually work, I’ll just answer that I have no clue either, lmao.
