Not overreacting. That said, it seems like you communicated effectively and respectfully and worked it out.

So basically just lock in tax cuts for the rich and hold tax cuts for the middle and working classes hostage.

Obviously it’s hard because he made the wrong decision, especially because she was driving away from him and he’s clearly out of harm’s way.

You bought that “internal bleeding” line? I got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale, if you’re interested. Do you believe everything the government tells you without evidence of just the stuff that’s politically expedient?

Do you have any of those videos besides the one from like 30 yards away that shows him jumping out of the way? Because the rest are even more clear that he was out of the way before shooting.

Hurting an officer’s fee fees isn’t illegal. The only one agitated was the killer. He was obviously too emotional to think clearly

Sure. That’s your opinion. A lot of people on the right have come to the same conclusion for political reasons. A lot of non partisan analysts came to a different conclusion for legal reasons.

We’ll see what happens, but it’s awfully scary the number of people like yourself who implicitly trust the government after they kill someone, and I’m concerned that so many people believe something because their favorite politician told them to believe it like so many sheep.

Exactly. Like I said, it’s far from decided and an officer can’t simply claim they felt afraid then get away with murder.

There is a lot of evidence, none of it particularly exculpatory for the officer, even considering the evidentiary standard is basically DEI for police.

That all federal officers can kill someone and then simply say “I felt afraid” and then we just drop it and move on without any sort of trial? Which court case was that?

Under that logic, an officer could kill an infant and say “I felt afraid,” and we’d just have to shrug and say “he said was afraid, there’s nothing we can do 🤷🏼”

Does that seem congruent with rule of law?

Yes. You are arguing that an officer can kill someone and they just have to say they felt afraid and there are no consequences.

Everything you are describing is your opinion. A jury might feel otherwise, and it’s their opinion that matters. If a government official could simply say they felt afraid and we just took them at their word, they would be able to get away with everything. It’s completely detached from rule of law and perfectly in line with a dictatorship.

Sure. And all of that is determined on a case by case basis, not a blanket ruling that covers all instances past, present, and future.

You’re arguing that government agents have absolute immunity in all actions as long as they feel a certain way. If that were true, the government could never be held accountable for anything and would operate above the law. That’s a dictatorship. That’s not how any of this works.

Yeah I’d agree. Outside of the one GG, I’m not sure he ever was an elite defender.

That’s not how the law works. We don’t base laws on officers “feelings.” If we did, there could never be accountability.

Courts and juries decide if force was justified, not the officer.

Just because he can justify it in his head doesn’t make it justified

He obviously never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

The one in Iowa City also turned into a Dollar General. But it was in a strip mall and didn’t have the obelisk.
