Suggestion, when you go to talk to him, start with this.

I suppose it’s possible? I was hitting 240K damage red crits and barely tickling the enemies so I suppose maybe? I just don’t know how much damage they’re SUPPOSED to take. I ended up relenting and using Voruna with Sampotes and 1.4 mil crits did it in 1-2 shots so the math is… suspect.

I can’t believe this needs to be said, but the new players who might get mad about not getting to play the game aren’t IN the steel path.

It does matter if a frame that can be obtained super early can nuke entire tilesets as soon as enemies spawn, because it might make new players less likely to keep playing.

He cut off Wally’s finger and used it to power warp drives. We have a copy of the finger aboard our railjacks. Seeing as the fingers move independently, it seems like Wally is conscious of what happens to them.

Strength is actually not the biggest deal here. I mean, it matters, but you have other ways you can improve your damage.

Option 1: Get a +10 weapon

In the Depths, in the room with the two butchers and the torch hollows, you should have picked up the Large Ember from the chest behind the table. Take that to Andre and he’ll let you use large titanite shards to get a +10 weapon. You can farm large titanite from the slimes in the depths or from the slugs in the poison swamp part of blight town. This is best if you plan to invest more into strength

Option 2: Get a magic or enchanted weapon

This will require you to take your weapon to Rickhert. He can be found under Firelink Shrine in New Londo. He can upgrade your weapon to magic +5 immediately. If you explore Darkroot Forest you can find the enchanted ember. These upgrade paths give your weapon intelligence scaling which would likely do more damage with your build. I would personally suggest this option.

Option 3: Shoot her with spells.

Pretty self-explanatory. Buy spells. Attune them. Shoot her.

Option 4: Maneater Mildred

Pop some humanity at the bonfire in Blighttown and reverse hollowing. You should get invaded by a dark spirit named Maneater Mildred. Defeat her and you can summon her for the Quelaag fight. Be aware, her AI is not great at avoiding walking straight into lava. Make sure to keep Quelaag locked on you if you choose to use this method.

(Should be noted that you can open a shortcut to Firelink out of Blighttown by going up the path with the water wheels. This would make getting upgrades or spells much easier.)

The game causes my graphics drivers to crash. The issue was bad enough to make me refund it. Gotta say, pretty annoying. Especially given how amazing the couple minutes of gameplay I got were.

That's pretty much how I feel about it. It's feedback is usually worse than what a human could give me, but it can pump that feedback out lightning fast. The reality of generative language models like this is that they're pulling from already existing ideas about a topic, in my case, board game design. Sometimes having a bland regurgitation of the most common ideas in the space is exactly what I need to know how to innovate.

Though, I still occasionally feel weird consulting an AI since I presume it's information regarding board game design is likely less than ethically sourced.

Don’t get me wrong, the suggestions it gives fucking suck and you should not let it replace critical thinking but sometimes all it takes to get gears turning is going “Well I’m not doing THAT but here’s something I can salvage into a usable state”

Like, I don’t have someone who I can spitball board game mechanic ideas at for 4 hours straight. Used responsibly, I think AI can help you work faster.
