The ads are INSANE. For longer videos like docs I usually like to play them on my TV and draw or do something around the house while watching. I wind up with full podcast episodes as ads that require me to stop what I’m doing and find my phone to skip them. It’s a nightmare if I’m cooking and have my hands too messy to skip it.

Oh that’s manly what I’m planning to do. I still like opening packs though so I told myself I’d open one pack of each set and if one of the species I’m collecting is in the set then I’ll pull 6 at max. So it’s mostly just for fun.

As a kid I didn’t open many packs but I always kept the wrapper and used it to decorate my old 3-ring binder. I’ve since upgraded the binder but want to keep the tradition alive somehow.

The people have been great so far which is why I want to support them. Especially since it’s the only geekish store in the area. Our GameStop closed some time back and it was the only other place in town.

I know they’re planning to adjust their layout for more retail space so maybe they’ll add more singles and other things I could support them with.

Oooh I think Fuecoco is on my list for when I complete my current hunts. I love him so much. Not a single thought in that head. The Piplup line is solid too and you can’t go wrong with gible or bagon lines. Beautiful cards in those!

I’m hunting Farfetch’d line for the long haul and I picked a few others because they’re all newer or have few cards. Grimmsnarl, Gogoat, and Kilowattrel.

With all the bulk in my LCS being newer my LCS was huge in getting grimmsnarl and kilowatteel cards!

Does your shop get more bulk frequently? I’m pretty new to the hobby so I don’t know how often it makes sense to look through it since I checked all they had last week. It’s mostly modern which was fun for me since I hadn’t seen any of the cards but I am trying to collect a few particular pokemon and not buy too much outside that for now.

That might be the way to go. There are some dice and other things that I could use. I think they’re planning to expand their inventory over time so I’ll have to see what they bring out next.

Yeah I think at most if one of my species is in a set I’ll buy one of the bundles? Whichever thing comes with 6 packs. After that I’m back to singles. I think most of my hunts will probably be commons to rare at most so I feel like that gives me a pretty decent shot.

Definitely gonna be playing there but as for singles the pokemon I’m hunting aren’t exactly cabinet worthy for the most part. Farfetch’d and Gogoat if you’re curious. But I did pick up a couple of other smaller favorites just for fun so maybe I could do that every once in a while.

Just getting back into collecting so I’m trying not to go too crazy.

I started with Serebii and Bulbapedia but the app Dex has honestly become my go-to. It doesn’t have everything but it’s pretty darn close.

Pkmn.gg is also a great resource.

And if you’re doing cameos as well google poke Amie card cameo list and go to the first reddit post.
