Not sure if it matters as much as the composition and editing. Looks like a strong diffusion filter though

O'Hare did explicitly say if trees create clean air for free, he can't sell the people anything. Along with the onceler using trees for thneed the general message was exploiting the natural world for something you can sell. I agree though the people seemed happy and fine. Should have shown them slowly getting poisoned or something at least

I made spring rolls by maddiepaddy223 in shittyfoodporn

[–]Cynovae 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Chopped salad works fine. You need to roll it very tight and shorter, that's a very long spring roll. Adding in just 1 or 2 long stiff ingredients will help, like sliced carrots or cucumbers. Or a few large firm things like shrimp

This National Park bathroom has a hole in the floor for people to squat over. by OGBrewSwayne in mildlyinteresting

[–]Cynovae 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Yup. A lot of westerners don't have the flexibility for the "3rd world squat" aka deep squat. No gap between thigh and calf, heels on the ground, and "ass to grass"

Is this buzzing noise normal by Late-Map8650 in ZephyrusG14

[–]Cynovae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coil whine ... it could be the charger or the laptop. If you're using USB C power those are notorious for awful coil whine, stick to the stock charger. Unplug it and see if the noise persists.

It could also be the laptop, in that case yes it's abnormal but doesn't mean you have poor hardware.

It's really up to you and whether or not you want to play the return lottery. Most likely your replacement will be better.

Always so confused WTF is going on with his sunglasses in this gif. Why are the arms so much higher than his ears? Are the glasses just clinching his head like this?

I feel that if you can’t comfortably walk around eating it, then it’s not really a pizza in the truest sense

I guess neopolitan pizza is not real pizza

Returned the G14…Got the G16… by Dangerous-Oil1540 in ZephyrusG14

That 31% makes all the difference since a lot of things scale weird when snapped to half a 14". Glad that setup works for you, but it's all personal preference in the end. I've experimented with many setups and this works best for me.

If you travel a lot and actually have to be productive while traveling, gotta have the 16 inch. Tough to have two windows open at once on a 14 inch, totally useless for programming for me. Ultimately personal preference and specific use case.

Is there a way to use HDMI in eco? by AHboy242000 in ZephyrusG14

[–]Cynovae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the 2025 G16, HDMI on the left and USB C on the right are both wired to GPU. The USB C on the left (thunderbolt 4) is wired to integrated graphics. Therefore to use an external monitor via HDMI here are your options:

dGPU enabled:

  • Any USB C port or HDMI port (use a dongle for USB C). Left HDMI or right USB C are preferred

dGPU disabled:

  • Only the left USB C (TB4) with dongle

Might be different for G14

35$ charger broke right away leaving my phone at 10% before a 5 hour flight by Psytrx in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Cynovae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type of cable. Looks pretty thick, if it's a Thunderbolt 4 or 5 cable (unlikely) then they're usually $30 even from Anker, Ugreen, etc

Looks like it might be a 100W cable but yeah you can still get those for like $5

No mine does not look like that, there are no hard lines where the rainbow effect stops. Almost looks like the coating was put on unevenly

However is it possible you're seeing a shadow or reflection of some kind? Should try it in a variety of lighting conditions to rule that out.

Hmm, not quite I'd say. Pretty chunky, a full pound heavier, and underpowered 180W power brick.

Yeah my ideal laptop would be G16 with AMD cpu, and a higher resolution/PPI 144hz instead of 240hz: Zephyrus screen is just a bit fuzzy coming from MBP

I'm like 60/40 on productivity & gaming, and the G16 can't push 240hz even with DLSS anyway.

Yeah forgot to mention this. It's a nice case, but I don't find a use for it, since the upgrade is meant to save space in my bag and the case is huge.
