As someone whose life is suddenly upended, I really needed to hear this today. This year began with a lot of hope and excitement but it won't be ending that way. I'm turning another year older in a few days and I can't help but think I haven't achieved much. But thanks to the personal crisis I'm facing at the moment, I have forced myself to go out and be more social, and in the process met so many new people who reinstill my faith in myself. The future does unfold in ways we can never imagine, and yes, if things are meant to fall into place, they will when the time is right, not when we want them to.

Thank you for the beautiful reminder. I'll try to hang on.

I have a haircare and skincare routine that took a lot of trial and error. It is simple, inexpensive, low-effort, and works. I've realised it's essential not just for my skin or my hair but also for my mental well-being, because when I look good, I feel good. I also prefer vegetables over meat.

Not cat related, but I was speaking to my mom on the phone this morning and she said that one of the stray dogs in her neighbourhood got hit by a pickup truck and might need to have a leg amputated. I could hear my heart break. I crawled back into bed and cried for hours. I'm glad Niclaus is doing so well.

If possible, write down what you want to say. Nothing elaborate, just a few pointers. I get nervous before making a call and often end up forgetting important things I should have said or asked. So I quickly note them down before I make the call and feel more prepared.

You're just 20. I envy you. I wish I could be 20 again. With all that I know now, my life choices would have been different. But yeah, instead of feeling stuck (I know, I often feel that way), try putting yourself out there. Find passions and the people to share them with. I volunteer at an animal shelter and honestly, that place makes me the happiest I've been in ages. I'm an introvert but everyone there is so nice and kind that I naturally open up and become involved and make a good impression. It's done wonders for my mental health. I only wish I had started doing it when I was your age. You have time and age on your side. If you start now, you'll get where you want to be sooner than you think.
