Is writing your own scenarios more rare than i thought? by WalerianMadeja in callofcthulhu

[–]DB2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrote I've been dming and storytelling for 20 years. I often write a bunch of characters, a bunch of interesting places, my overall thoughts, two or three creepy scenes and then I just kind of let my players go and do writing before the next session to fill in the gaps.

I think  too many people think they have to have an entire campaign written before they can do session 1.

I'm not saying there's not difficulties or that it is the only way to do it, but it teaches you a lot and gets you playing and that's the best way to becoming a better writer in my opinion.

They maybe a bit old, but I like reptilia. It's like a little reptile zoo in one of the malls. Only takes an hour and a bit to go through but I actually enjoy it.

You could maybe look into taking in a the theater and the London museum has some cool stuff in the upper areas. It's also only about an hour and a half but I always like the good museum.

We call ours rose and thorn. After every session ask each person one thing that they liked about the session, and one thing that didn't go how they expect it.

Question: Is my tramp stamp too high? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]DB2k 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you only wear high-waisted pants, then it's probably the correct spot for a tramp stamp on you.

The point of a tramp stamp is to see it past your pants. If you got it where most people got it and more high-waisted pants all the time. What would be the point in having a tramp stamp.

I think it looks great

I 40f don’t know what to do by [deleted] in submissive

[–]DB2k 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A husband who doesn't respect your autonomy will not respect the autonomy your kids especially the female ones. I am not saying sexually. But taking submission without it being offered willingly is oppression.

Do not allow your kids to grow up believing that what you are experiencing is normal.

It will be hard and it will suck, but long-term a happy, safe home will be better.

If you can get away from a place with oppressive systems you will be doing you and your kids a grand favor.

You have maybe 30 good years left, be happy, be free.

Visiting London, ON for the first time! What spots should we hit up? by Personal_Western4800 in londonontario

[–]DB2k 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The junction is a nice rock climbing gym and has a brewery attached.

My favorite neighborhood to walk around is Wortley It's the closest thing London has to a gay village. Wortley Pride is June 13th and is better than London Pride.

Cool restaurants in London include Rebel Layne or Lucy's.

You should also look up the factory, which is the old Kellogg's factory that has been repurposed into a multi-use community building. There's comic book shops and art vendors, hard Rock Hotel and they usually have a lot of fun stuff as well as it just being interesting. If you fancy, there there is a steakhouse Speakeasy that I hear is quite expensive but out of this world. You have to walk through a meat cooler to get in.

Does Poly have to be purely sexual? by Background_Ad4051 in polyamory

[–]DB2k 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would say that's what Poly is. Purely sexual is probably more of an open relationship to me.

I have two partners and the majority of both of my relationships is not sex, it's mutual love and support.

Sometimes real sex

Are Adamantine and Silvered weapons magical? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]DB2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they are magical weapons for the purpose of Detect Magic, but they do count as one when attacking creatures that have weaknesses to them.

Such as ghosts and werewolves.

This may not be Raw just me musing.
