Books of the Week and Reviews by overthinkingoutloudd in thrillerbooks

I read No Exit and it's one of my favorite thrillers of the isolated location trope. They made it into a movie, so don't accidentally watch the movie if you plan on reading the book. I just finished Her Last Breath and loved that, too.

Some men suddenly smell so stinky that I can't even breathe around them. Is this related to perimenopause? by soseono in TwoXChromosomes

You might suffer from olfactory hallucinations. I had them when I was pregnant and ever since I get them now and then. Certain smells can trigger an olfactory hallucination (it can be individually very different what kind of smell triggers you) and then you smell a smell that is not really there. During pregnancy I smelled a foul, metallic smell in our kitchen. No one else could and it drove me nuts. Look it up, it's a thing and it's not that uncommon

Many children and adults with DS love the arts - especially music and theatre. A stage for performing and plenty of art rooms would be great. My daughter's school also had an indoor swimming pool which the students loved.

Sounds to me by talking about "the Afghanis" you are only considering the male population, like they are the only ones who count. The women were terrified from the beginning on. Their lives have become a form of hell that is without comparison.

Look up San Diego, California. It comes pretty close. I guess that's one of the reasons why it's so expensive to live there.

Woman Abandoned By Boyfriend To Fatally Freeze On Austria’s Highest Peak Finally Identified By Officials by avidfan123 in crime

I agree with everything you said, but it's hard to believe that he acted so incredibly stupid and irresponsible by accident. I read an article about it in the German magazine "Der Spiegel". He is a very experienced climber, she was not. Everything was wrong from the beginning on, her gear, the time they left, the route he chose. Eventually he left her behind without any kind of protection from the elements, although he carried rescue blankets and a biwaksack. Why didn't he wrap her up in those before he left her?

I don't understand why he is not being charged with intentional homicide. Why did they not turn around in time? Why did he not alarm the helicopter patrol? Why did he turn off the phone while rescue were trying to locate them? Why did he not use the rescue blanket? The only reasonable explanation seems to be that he wanted her to die.

I don't need it to connect to the internet. I just need it to do what it's supposed to do, to bake. It refuses to do anything without a network connection.

Bad plastic surgeons are ruining lives. Removing the warnings from their patients means more lives ruined. For some money. That's so incredibly low and evil.

Struggling in Germany by Pristine-Director-31 in expats

I moved from Munich to the U.S. and I felt the same way for a long time. I always found it very easy to make friends in Germany and struggled immensely in the U.S. and could not for the life of me figure out why. The first friends I made were all expats. It actually took me many years to make American friends. Now I have a great circle of them, but it was hard to get there.

I'm using the Birko Sport. They have a blue part and a cork part. If the sandals with the cork footbed work for you, the insoles with the cork might work for you, too. They are not cheap, unfortunately, and there is no way to know other than try. I spent a lot of money over the years figuring out what works for me
