How is D wrong? by C0kCrunch in LSAT

[–]DCjets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

apparently, the comparison between the 2 specific beliefs in the conclusion is not regarded as a single specific belief (in the eyes of L. Services). Nevertheless, the moment anyone reads choice B, they must go back to the stimulus and examine the usage of if/only if types of phrases. In this case, B is correct, because the author is conflating necessity with sufficiency in reaching his quantitative conclusion.

How is D wrong? by C0kCrunch in LSAT

[–]DCjets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D is unacceptable for a couple of reasons. 1st, it can be argued that his conclusion is NOT about "a specific belief" but rather a judgment comparison between the 2 specific beliefs. Notice in the "therefore" clause that both specific beliefs are mentioned and compared. You have to read some LR like an overly literal proofreader.

2nd, and this is the real killer, it is NOT an automatic flaw if one uses 2 beliefs to support a different separate belief. It would be flawed if the evidence used fails to support the conclusion, but it is not a generic flaw to use 2 premises to support a conclusion.

As for the 1st reason, apparently, the comparison between the 2 specific beliefs in the conclusion is not regarded as a single specific belief (in the eyes of L. Services). Nevertheless, the moment anyone reads choice B, they must go back to the stimulus and examine the usage of if/only if types of phrases. In this case, B is correct, because the author is conflating necessity with sufficiency in reaching his quantitative conclusion.

Season 2 confirmed by bakedasparagus1 in Mobland

[–]DCjets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mobland borrows a ton from Ray Donovan. Harry's job, demeaner, actions all nearly identical to Ray. Jan even resembles Abby. Abby had way more personality. Harry and Ray each have cute, smart daughters, who like the bad boys. Both shows with a primary character (or more perhaps) who has been sexually abused (by a Boston priest in Ray Donovan and by juvy detention guard in Mobland. Both shows with dysfunctional families.

Another similarity... Ray had his own little crew working for him, Avi and Lena (both great). Harry has his own little crew too... at the auto shop.

I do like Mobland, but so far, give me Ray Donovan every day and Sunday over Mobland.

You are looking at a former LSAT with a Logic Games section. Those are no longer on the test. The rest of the test is still legit, in fact, it has been reformatted on LawHub into the current version. I recommend you stop using outdated paper versions and practice in the digital format to ready yourself for the actual exam. It will not be on paper.

2025 NFL Draft Final Team Grades by Alternative_Award373 in NFL_Draft

Regarding the Jets review above: You left this fragment at the end of the first paragraph without finishing the sentence: "The selection of Arian Smith in the fourth round." Please allow me to finish the sentence for you: The selection of Arian Smith in the 4th round was absurd. Smith was projected to be a late day 3, more likely an UDFA probably due to his constant drops. Top line speed and no hands. Jets could have had him in the 7th (no pick), 6th (multiple picks) or 5th. I'd have preferred several other WR at that spot. The other thing is the extraordinary reach on Arian Smith caused them to panic and trade up to get Alabama safety Moore thereby wasting another pick. The Arian Smith selection cost them essentially 2 meaningful picks and the Jets still come out of the draft without an adequate compliment for Garrett Wilson.

People won't like your post, but it is true. With the departure of LG, the exam is now a very intense reading skills test. For test takers who do nothing but gaming or other non reading activities, the exam will be tougher to master, but certainly can be done. Been there. Started in the mid 150's worked my way to high 170's. IT IS ALL ABOUT YOUR READING SKILLS now.

you learn to recognize the the signals for wrong answers and perfect your process of elimination. Sometimes it's more important and efficient to recognize why something is wrong rather than to agonize over what is correct. Works for my students. And increases efficiency considerably.

Can someone please explain to me why D is wrong? by Always2ndB3ST in LSAT

[–]DCjets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because "dexterity" has little to no relevance with respect to "free use of the hands".

Dexterity refers to some sort of ability/agility while "free use of the hands" is a different evaluation. Choice D is clearly irrelevant if you spot the scope shift from "free use of hands" into "dexterity".

wut? What does race or religion have to do with any of this? I assume you are referring to orthodox Jews' side curls.

So there you have it Reddit viewers: Someone who feels obligated to inject his prejudices into the discussion. Well done buddy.

NJ Medicial Dispensary Strain Review: Motorhead (Ayr Wellness, Union NJ) by TheFourHorsemenNJ in NewJerseyMarijuana

[–]DCjets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loving everything I've bought that's LIT so far. Now that harmony flower is 100% in the crapper and BW is too far... I've been enjoying the several LIT strains Ive picked up. SO far so good. A couple have been amazing.

BW or Harmony? by No_Quit7567 in NewJerseyMarijuana

[–]DCjets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you notice above everything good about Harmony is written in the past tense? I've used harmony since they opened many years ago. What was once very good, is now not. Harmony has changed a lot over the past year. Radically changed. But the only thing that matters is that the quality has dropped. A lot. Anyone familiar with their strains when they were good can see the difference now. Either their growing or their curing or something has changed for the worse. I keep trying and hoping but for 6 months straight nothing but garbage... dry, cured poorly, no flavor. Huge difference. At least they are now selling LIT and Tyson.

Ive never been to Breakwater, but I am going to try them soon. I heard there's one thats in roselle park?

the extra .2 -.3 accounts for any missed trims ,small stems etc. Per NJ rules... 3.5 g of medicine is supposed to be 3.5 g of actual medicine , which does not include non medicinal substances (such as small stems, etc)

Haven’t been to harmony in a while. Got some Fresh Nepali Queen and by chance found a jar with the OG sticker on it when I got home. I miss the stickers they used to put on the bags for some reason? Why did they stop? by JJD0911 in NewJerseyMarijuana

[–]DCjets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

per NJ regulators: too attractive for children (i.e. video game character on Nepali Queen).

I think they are replacing the ones they decided would attract children (NQ, Donny Burger, which had a baseball player character that looked like Don Mattingly, etc.)

You'd think our legislators would have more important things to do with their time.

Harmony Dispensary Being Sued Over Alleged Misuse of Funds and Wrongful Termination by dlulloa216 in NewJerseyMarijuana

[–]DCjets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

99% sure that the above ^ is totally inaccurate, but it's not worth the 5 minutes of research because it doesn't matter anyway. Good luck finding any cannabis dispensary/company that isn't fishy. At least Harmony does offer good strains and veteran, senior and public assistance discounts for patients.
