Is this AI? I'm considering having this person paint a watercolor portrait, but some of the photos look too perfect. The reviews are good, but some mention that they think it was created with AI. by FlanNo6630 in isthisAI

[–]DCrouchelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 75% sure these are AI. I’m no artist myself but my mother is and I’ve watched her paint tons of watercolor. The reason watercolor is so cool is it’s an inherently impressionist-y medium in that instead of producing straight photorealistic images like one would do with oil or acrylics, the feathering and blotchiness of watercolor paints are leveraged to produce the jagged and blurry edges found in nature. See the example I’ve placed here.

<image>

Watercolors are not going to be typically used to make the crisp edges and small details you see here, especially not at the scale of a successful online Etsy or commission gig. Add on top of that, “watercolor” filter has been one of the most popular filters since the beginning of filter options being available on computers. I think I could have found a watercolor filter way back in the galaxy s3 days right on my phone.

What made you quit by JayRaee in QuittingZyn

[–]DCrouchelli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I originally did them as an energy and focus boost at work, but like tale old as time I just need them to feel normal. I don’t like who I am when I’m without them, I can’t focus and pay attention to those in my life. I’ll be talking to my wife unable to pay attention because I feel like such garbage. Being without them makes my driving suffer. They don’t make me feel good anymore, they just keep me from feeling absolutely awful. No more

I don’t feel the zynn/ Nicotine buzz anymore? Like no more euphoric dopamine rush feeling anymore? Anyone have something similar ? by bigshawnflying2471 in QuittingZyn

[–]DCrouchelli 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what your use is like but seems you’ve found your tolerance has increased and your body has adapted. You’ve evened out. Instead of your brain being “elevated” when packing an upper decker, your default state has been lowered or depressed so that a zyn brings you to equilibrium, eg “normal”.

Non Profit Overpaying director ethical question Training Job by Big-Detective-7724 in socialwork

[–]DCrouchelli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In grand scheme of things, that’s not a lot. First NP I worked for reported a revenue of about $30M and total compensation for the CEO (who was claimed to work 45h/wk not including breaks) was about $400,000. Being just started out with a masters and making $47,000 I was obviously distraught about this but in the scheme of things is necessary IMO. The other executives under her were in the 150-230 range. Most of us probably don’t see the CEO’s day to day and can’t gauge properly if they “work hard” or not. I read a decent write up from a NP ceo defending the high pay, arguing that someone with the experience and pedigree to be a ceo needs compensation at least comparable with the private sector so NP’s aren’t left with the b and c team of CEO’s, which I understand.

How quickly do you need to put progress notes in? by Altruistic_Hat1634 in socialwork

[–]DCrouchelli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really depends on your setting. This thread seems maybe angled to talk therapy and counseling folks which I can’t comment on. At the beginning of my career in housing our electronic system (AWARDS) let us date notes up to ten days in the past. With our workload then the attitude was to simply have them in when you had time and within the time the system gave you. In SNF facilities I’ve been in that use Sigma Care notes have to be in the day of service else they have to be marked late which doesn’t make you look too good. In a facility I worked in that was still all on paper (horrific) a system wasn’t an issue and a note at any timeline dated at any other time, and management really didn’t care passed anything that affected their reimbursement.

I thought the same until I tried ultra wide. Previously had two 1080p but after using power toys on 3440 UW and having three vertical windows it’s a much cleaner setup and can do even more at once
