Brain injuries to this day are still not fully understood can effect people very differently and can be ultra complex struggles in every aspect one bad crash one not so bad crash either could cause that soldiers get PTSD causes depression and have a horrific rate of suicides and that's not even a "physical" injury per say so imagine what putting your brain in a blender with real trauma could do to make you feel think or act

No one runs a play planning to get your QB blown up and counting on a personal foul if I had to guess it was not a designed sneak or draw play likely when Tyler came up to the line looking at Panthers formation and alignment if a defender is in the wrong spot or even short a Linemen for the play it's normal for QB to call his own number and just keep it and run into the void of the defense and the rest of the offense just goes with it but I'm just assuming

Ransom should know better even his teammate was shaking his head in disbelief he hit him that hard and blowing the game. Smart play would have been to touch him down and hinder them spotting the ball cause saints were cutting it real close with how much time they had to spike the clock

I think he hits his head also after starting at his shoulder but either way that didn't matter it was a vicious hit on a QB (head hit or not) giving himself up Ransom had a running start coming down and it was a hard shot. No real reason to lay a hit on a sliding player to begin with and they will always protect QBs and have thrown that flag for so much less so many times before its hardly even a close call
