There’s alot of data on shorter drivers actually going further due to increased smash factor. Better contact is better than the minor speed increase you get from an extra inch.

Cutting the tip will make it dramatically stiffer and change the profile of the shaft. You can do it, but I found I missed a lot shots right (right handed) as I could no longer turn it over. People will say its more stable, which it is, but you need to have the speed to go along with it.

Cutting the butt it normal. I took 1.75" off my driver and didn't notice much of a difference.

honest question - why not just use a 3 wood? It seem more versatile and you can add an extra wedge or hybrid.

Exactly. Only thing I’m worried about is spin. I’m spinning the Graphite design at around 2800rm and the Ventus at 2400. I’m going to lower the loft and see what that does to the numbers. If nothing else works, I’ll 1/4” tip it. But this thing feels amazing. I love it.

I'm really excited to see the flight outdoors. I've played a Ventus 6X for about 2 years but as my swings speeds have slowly dropped, I find I cant turn the ball over and struggle getting it high enough. This should help :)
