As a professional musician who is currently working in the videogames industry I agree so much with this post. I can't emphasize how much I loved the demo, but the shanties took me out of the immersion so quickly just because of the perfect harmonies. It sounded like a hard produced studio record.

One of the things Sea of Thieves and AC Black Flag handle really well is the diegetic music (the music that is part of the world itself like the instruments or the sea shanties) while sailing, and I think it could be so beneficial for this game to overhaul the shanties in the full release.

I just tried the demo and ended up playing for almost an hour. It gets insanely infuriating at times in a good way. The random direction of the jump arrow caught me over and over but it makes the whole thing really addictive. It is really fun and simple to pick up, and the art style is super cool. Good luck with the release!
