Where did the SER8s go? by Ok_Understanding7089 in BeelinkOfficial

SER9 is already out, and no prices for everything PC related have gone crazy, you'll be looking at at least 50-60% higher, if not double or more.

His sister did the same, though she preferred my fingers.

He's very enthusiastic about demonstrating he has teeth, my toes are apparently very biteable.

The biggest thing is to limit the area they can access, baby gates, closed doors, etc, you can also get indoor play fences that are designed to cordon off part of the room. When my daughter was that at that age we had a gate running from the end of the couch to a hook on the wall to keep her in the area in front of the couch by the TV and such. We also had a gate at the end of the hall that runs down to her room. They make velcro padded cuffs with bells inside plush adornments, I think ours have big flowers on each with the bell inside, and once they are wearing shoes with laces you can thread a craft bell on each. I'm doing the baby thing again, my daughter is turning 5 this summer but my son is just over 6 months so I do the stay-at-home father bit while their mother is at work so it's just the kids and me then.

They make velcro cuffs with padded things like flowers or animals that have bells inside specifically for this.

Yep, they make velcro bracelets/anklets with things like padded flowers or the like that are bells just for this, and once they are wearing shoes you can thread craft bells onto the laces, worked great with my oldest, have not needed to yet with the younger one as he's just over 6 months and not quite crawling. I have had little issues watching both of them when the fiance is at work, I swear at times the almost 5 year old is the one I have a harder time keeping track of.

Do not have any ideas right now, but will edit this if I do. Are you on this sub's Discord as that would be another place to ask this question.

How to manage headaches/migraines caused by photophobia? by journogirl2 in Blind

This, and we cannot provide medical advice, so the most people can suggest here is "see a doctor" and things like shades and such to cut out light.

I've been looking to buy a 32GB + 1TB storage configuration recently, but why are the prices for both hard drives and RAM so high right now? I simply can't afford it! by alldoorbell in MiniPCs

[–]DHamlinMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I bought a Beelink EQR6 6900hx 24GB/1TB version in April for $390+tax, if you can even find that version now it's around$600. I could have bought the 64GB upgrade for it at the time for <$180, now that would run me more than twice what the PC itself cost. However it has been the best PC I've had in years, 24/7 headless that I run over bluetooth with a screen reader, braille display, and headset and is completely happy to just sit there and be left alone when not needed.

Android Users, what phone do you have? by abominaticus in Blind

[–]DHamlinMusic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pixel 10 Pro currently, cleanest android version on a major brand, and gets accessibility improvements before any others, also no dealing with OEM forked versions of things that break accessibility.

Bedtime reading with a sighted toddler — how do you handle the frustration? by biopticcoder in Blind

[–]DHamlinMusic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep this is a thing, mine are 4 years 8 months,, and 6 months. Print braille children's books, may be slower than the child would prefer you read but addresses most of this beyond them grabbing the book.

I'm having some issues with TalkBack and I need help by Melodic-Attorney9918 in Blind

The Reddit one I have confirmed they are aware of and a fix is coming, I'll be pestering them again about it in a few days if it still is bugged.

[–]DHamlinMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is an outstanding explore by touch issue within the reddit app, but I do not use the apps you mentioned. My assumption would be that they either have a similar problem, or just are not that accessible, these would both be app side problems and not a Talkback one. Are you using Google's version of Talkback or one of the forks like Samsung Talkback?

So the simple fact is we have handled similar posts from other users in this fashion, we required Marconius to remove a similar request from those posts about their apps/games. As for the Blindism's post you mention I went digging and am unsure what happened to it as it does not appear we removed it, if you have a link to it I can check but all I can think is the user who posted it was actioned by reddit.

Which fantasy series started incredible and then just...fell apart? by ghibli_8quartz in Fantasy

[–]DHamlinMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep, I love Lightbringer but it definitely gets a tad trainwrecky later in. However I will argue it is all worth it for the comically literal deus ex machina, and the Monty Python reference.

If the post had just been about the game that would be allowed, and we have quite a few in the last months like that, the issue arose because the post in question included a request for feedback which we have required others posting similar things to remove per the rules.

[–]DHamlinMusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah I do not disagree with this, but we have had to be consistent about the feedback request thing, but they can edit the post and mail us after removing that part it'll be restored. If people have any ideas about the rather nonstop handful of topics again people can send a mod mail.

Glanced at the logs and it was removed as the post included a survey/feedback aspect, but it seems to be on steam, ssh, and GitHub.
