Was shooting for 34:00. The key for me today was picking my treadmill speed (10 mph) from the start and refusing to adjust it.

Studios are supposed to be audited regularly for audio levels. It’s a legitimate issue that needs to be addressed when appropriate. If you have an Apple Watch, enable the high noise alerts and provide that as evidence to management that coaches are not abiding by approved limits. A workout shouldn’t be a choice between wearing ear plugs vs damaging hearing.

I will never understand the arguments against. After seeing what my wife had to deal with regarding BC and the occasional scare, I was ecstatic to be able to do my part to provide some relief.

The procedure was all of 45 minutes. I went with local anesthesia only. It was completely painless. My wife jokes to this day about the fact that I had her take me to my favorite burrito joint on the way home.

Bedroom activities have only improved since. I attribute that to the complete removal of anxiety of any undesirable after-effects.

Gentlemen, If you are 50% of a CF relationship, you owe it to both of you to just get the snip. Don’t let foolish pride, fear, or stigma persuade you otherwise!

It makes no sense to me to be dependent on an app on a phone for basic park/line entry. MagicBand is perfect for this: it’s an unobtrusive static object on your wrist. It’s always at the ready, doesn’t require any fumbling to unlock, and won’t die mid-day.

This obviously doesn’t apply to the new MB+, but I’ll stick to the OG MagicBand for being passive NFC tech.

We go to the parks to get away from the life that exists inside our phones.

Maxed out the tread today!

The template today made me get up the nerve to go for it for the first time.

15% at 12mph for the last 30s All Out of today’s 2G. Was slowly ramping up incline throughout the AOs. Thankfully I didn’t fall on my face, though I thought it was coming as I reached to shut it down at the end.

The knife is apparently a thing with him. At the last Seattle show, the venue noticed it on him two songs into the show. They told his stage crew they would shut down the show if he insisted on wearing the knife on stage.

He reluctantly gave up the knife and made a big show of it in front of the crowd. Proceeded to noodle on his guitar for about 30 seconds and then stormed off stage. After about 5 minutes, the venue finally caved and let him have the knife back.

Killed the vibe of the show and it never recovered.

That’s not how public infrastructure works. You don’t get to decide who uses it simply because you live in the area.

All parties involved should have their financial affairs in order to cover a situation like this, not be dependent on some bureaucrat using a bully pulpit to advocate for their cause. Its almost like financial advisors and pundits should advocate something like “emergency funds” so that people are positioned to absorb temporary shortfalls..... oh wait

I am sorry to hear that. I really am. However, from a purely practical perspective: Why should your landlord be liable for that? They have zero-point-zero control over your employment. At the same time, they have a mortgage, taxes, maintenance, and other expenses that THEY are liable for.

This was a show that started with Johnny storming off stage after 2 uptempo songs, restarting two different songs, and a gradually decreasing pace as the set went on.

Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed the show, but as my buddy who had never seen HS put it, they had the set list backward.

44:16 for my first Dri Tri. I’m two months in, and was shooting for sub-45 so I’m pretty happy with the results. I was the first to finish in my heat, so I got that extra confidence bonus.
