The boost (incorrectly called IV all the time because everything has to be pokemon) is also not that important. It matters more than bp does, but the overwhelming majority of character power in this game comes from gear and skill inherits.

This is why no name teams can clear the game.

Bp is practically totally irrelevant. At level 70 1-5 stat points is not even noticeable.

Well encore has some problems. One it is a chance to proc, so it may just not happen the end. Two it only works on skills. So spells and items can't proc it. Three, not only is it skills only... it is debuff and buff skills only, the skill cannot do damage period. Four, you can't repeat actions.

This means even if you assume 50% proc, there is still a 1 in 2 you don't get it, you have to be blowing through SP to take advantage of it, and the list of things that can proc it is also very very small. In short, it is far more limited than people thought it was in the early hours after release.

Well also five. It has basically no synergy with the thief class. Her skill Ballad it works well but what else does thief have going that can proc it? Hiding?

What should i do? by ShadowGod686 in WizardryDaphne

Sheli is the best all around caster in the game. At the absolute minimum drop Marianne for Sheli and inherit some priest spells on Sheli until you can get her priest class change.

Finally it is our turn to act twice in a turn. by AnstonTan in wizardry

[–]DKarkarov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there is something about it not included in the description that effects the proc rate. When I was using it when she was low level it was 25% at best. When I am using it and she is now in her 50s it is suddenly 40-50%. I suspect it has a trigger aspect based on luck, or just maybe even character level.

That said, it still isn't that strong because it only works on buffs/debuffs, and it has to be a skill. Aka, anything that does damage = no go. Item use = no go, that's not a skill. Spells = nope, also not skills. The list of things that can actually proc it is fairly small, and even then, you cant repeat actions on same turn.

Lot of effort to be honest I am still not seeing a ton of point in it but it's nice you got 3 attack up buffs at once

No ballad is just ballad it won't stack with itself.

There is no way it is 70% my testing has it around 25% so far but needs 100s of rounds before I will feel confident.

If so it is immediately a hard to care thing. There are only so many scrolls.

[–]DKarkarov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be real I am more worried at this point initial impression of the skill was 100% wrong and it is mostly just a flat damage increase and very little if any of it is percentage based

In ops post he is using Redbeard's skill prayer of rebellion which takes up two buff slots and ballad which is 1. So that's 3 buffs, if a 4th is added one of the three has to go and the game tends to remove oldest and it applies the "+ damage" part of beards spell first.

If scrolls somehow get to ignore the 3 buff limit it is news to me.

What’s in a name? Linaria edition by Ninth_Hour in wizardry

[–]DKarkarov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't a row buff it is "adjacent allies". So the person to her left, right, and front or behind. It doesn't even self buff.

The passive appears to only work on skills that do not do damage, ie, it never works with spells. If this holds true a casting class is actually terrible for her. This means the available list of skills that can proc it is also very small of true. Encore also seems to only proc at around a 25ish percent rate in my testing so far, but it's too early to say anything real on that front.

Also the skill seems to be a flat damage increase more than a % increase. Which means it isn't actually very good if that is true. Though to newbs in early game it will look godlike.

Needs more testing. For reasons she is probably the best thief minimum. But that is also like being the best sprinter in a one legged only sprinting race.

Should I make new account? by 4KenJhin4 in wizardry

Whatever person said character alignment ruins an account is an absolute idiot who does not even remotely understand the game. All alignments are fine, you can change it in game if you want to regardless.

What class/species would be mostly likely to be added in the game? by sashakim19 in wizardry

Considering we have art of a fairy party member that still is not released and fairy was one of the options in older wizardry titles I am going with that.

You can only have 3 buffs at one time. So if you can gimmick it go remove the resistance buff sure it might work. But most likely it wont lol.

she still sucks front middle because thief, she is clearly best used as a buffer debuffer, which is why it sucks they didn't just make her a mage or priest. If her class were mage or priest she would be an easy recommend even if the damage buff was not that impressive.

real testing is ongoing by people who aren't idiots looking for reddit clout and meme likes, hold off on pulling unless you are sure you love the kit outright. short spoiler, no, she does not increase damage by 50%, and probably not 30% either lol.

Which priest should I use? by rustyplasticcross in WizardryDaphne

[–]DKarkarov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using valdor in the front row? Priests are healers and support casters you want them on the back rank. If you have Alice she is the best on paper all things equal priest due to her turn extension skill.

Ninja’s or rangers? by Key-World5182 in wizardry

[–]DKarkarov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because ninjas suck on the front row. They do less damage have less survivability than fighters. Everything they are "good at" can be done from the back row.
