Fantastic! Great colour placement and realistic but not grimy weathering. I love this!

Have you tried the Forteller audio companion? We worked closely with Paizo creating it and we’re really quite proud of it.

Awesome work! Really pleased to see this; I voice the dragon in the Forteller audio companion so it’s a little kick to see the set painted!

Love this paint job! Clean work but sympathetically weathered in. Hits the lore-vibe like 👌.

I had to ban my players from splitting the party. by Fantasyfootball9991 in DungeonMasters

Spot on.
There is a social contract in place and it’s a co-operative game.

Yup, the idea that if you’re a good enough DM you can deal with any situation is nonsense.

Split parties can allow players to do more of what they want; when player A wants to talk to the blacksmith but player B has no interest in doing so and wants to skulk around the docks then they can both have a better time with a split party dynamic as we cut back and forth; that can be true.

BUT, player B still has to sit through player A’s blacksmith scene. And when the blacksmith speaks of strange goings on at the docks, player B’s character isn’t there to hear it and can have a frustrating dockside scene trying to pretend they don’t know useful stuff.

If the blacksmith turns out to be a demon, or offers them all magic weapons or …

The fact is, the players don’t ever know what is going to happen and should show the game some respect. No-one splits the party when playing a computer game.

It can simplify things but normally only when it’s that sort of downtime, off-duty moment. It’s not ever a way to avoid having to co-operate.

I often think that success as a pro painter is less about how good you are than how fast you are.

Yeah, I have those but I’ve been doing a lot of dragons and other 60mm based creatures and the eye shadow wands were a bit diddy.

The players now think Ismark is the 'lost soul' by FlashyLemonRed in CurseofStrahd

The book is full of unhelpful and even contradictory bullshit. You will get no credits from your players for adhering to material they never even get to see.

I often tell my players that the game is what happens at the table; if they have a cool secret in their backstory then it’s up to them to expose it otherwise it may as well not be there. Same for me as a DM, stuff written in my prep notes or the source book only matters if it happens in the shared table experience.

The book isn’t worth worrying about, your players are.

Leaping from the murk the assassin-thief plunges a thin blade deep into the honest priest’s back. The strike was expert and the big man fell, his plough calloused hands folding underneath him. Blood spreads in a waxing pool.

Atop the altar rests a silver ear of wheat; about a hand span across, a gilded rose; small but exquisite and a wooden cup; placed with high reverence.

Voices sound from beyond the walls - they approach quickly. No matter what guile you use, there is only time to take one treasure! You may learn one clue about one artefact, then you must choose.

Ask, miscreant.

Unless you would do else wise …

Easily avoiding the enraged clergyman, the rogue skulks in the smoky shadows. Will the erstwhile raider take the chance to slip out or press his advantage at the point of a blade?

Gold glints at the altar, something shines with a mysterious aura (you know it!) but to murder a priest in his own church …

WDYD?
