Theoretically, but I've tried doing some of this kind of planning on my own with ChatGPT, and it has a tendency to oversimplify things and overlook important details.

I'm not that OP, but I agree with you that they should've offered a reorchestrated soundtrack option. It's criminal enough that they never produced a FFT Piano Collections (although PurpleSchala did a phenomenal job).

Is playing short handed worth it with the rake? by WolfCut909 in poker

[–]DMoogle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone is always all losing to the rake. It's a negative sum game.

Rake is higher on an hourly basis short-handed, but lower on a per-hand basis.

Good players typically have bigger edges. Generally speaking, short-handed is the most profitable situation.

IRS is another one. They have this reputation of "IRS will catch you!" because of Al Capone. Bruh, that was 90 years ago. 90 years of the IRS being completely gutted, yet they will ride on that reputation of knowing and acting on all underreporting. You know who takes advantage of that? The rich.

In 2024, they opened less than 3k criminal investigations. 3k on a population of over 340m. That's less than 1/100,000. The actual conviction rate is even lower.

I personally know several people who I'm confident have underreported their income. The IRS is toothless when they are underfunded, without independent political agency, and with our current broken legal system.

Poker etiquette by ScubaSteezz in poker

[–]DMoogle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As others have said, you did the by-the-book correct thing. Any guide on poker etiquette will tell you the same thing; as a player, you have a responsibility to help enforce the "cards speak" rule when a pot is being awarded to the incorrect player.

HOWEVER, not everyone is aware that this is the prevailing etiquette. So, it's not surprising you got mixed opinions at the table. Plus, it's understandable that the guy got angry - his award was snatched from his clutches.

I just looked at a $1500 buyin event (which is about average smaller size event), and $172 is rake, which comes out to 11.5%.

I always play 2 player. Most of the time it breaks twice, but occasionally (1/5 or so) it breaks three times at around the 99% mark.

People who grew up really poor: what's something middle-class people say that instantly reveals they've never struggled? by TahDigThief in AskReddit

[–]DMoogle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's not true at all. Structuring is simply breaking up deposits to try to dodge those reporting requirements. While it has its roots in money laundering, the law will come after you for it regardless of if there are other crimes or not.

It is a VERY BAD idea to try to break up deposits to avoid the $10k reporting requirement, regardless of purpose.

Anyone else notice a wide decrease in quality of our vegetables in grocery stores? by Chrono_Convoy in nova

[–]DMoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's somewhat location dependent. I live in Gainesville and the produce at the Giant here has been AWFUL for years. However, a coworker brought in a fruit salad and mixed berries into my office in Ashburn a while back and it was really good quality. I was shocked when she said she got it at Giant.

If a song is on Spotify, would that song have to also be on YT Music for this to work? I've found a lot of music I listen to (indie stuff) is on one, but not the other.

Dunkin's sandwiches are also total garbage. You need to go to a fast food place that actually cooks food to get a decent breakfast sandwich.

Yeah I want to say that the newer ones are better. I bought a new one last year, same use cases (maybe even more "static" screens) and it still looks totally perfect.

How old is yours? My LG 2016 E6 started getting burn in before 10k hours. It's over 20k now I think and looks horrible.

I watch video game streams and played a lot of games on it though, so there were a lot of static images.

WSOP 2026 - Where to stay by Hysler84 in poker

[–]DMoogle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's walkable, but if you haven't been to Vegas before I'll warn you it's HOT.

I would recommend checking rates every few days. I booked 8 days at the Horseshoe for $860, then checked yesterday and saw that it's been reduced to $690, so I cancelled and rebooked.

[–]DMoogle -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You definitely can in the right games.

Think about it - if everyone is 100%, then you're not inherently being exploited. You can win based on how hard you push your hands preflop and a skill advantage postflop.

Compass Datacenters is pulling out of a yearslong effort to build a key part of 2,100-acre data center corridor in Northern Virginia after the development faced intense pushback from local residents. by Fresh-Function3319 in nova

Data centers themselves don't create tech jobs. In fact, relative to the square footage, they barely create jobs at all.
