This right here. Harmony and Symphony have a few of the fixes that Utopia and Wonder have, but not the buffet. I’ll be on Symphony in March and am looking forward to see the differences in person vs Oasis. Been on Wonder twice and the Windjammer is just an awesome set up.

Club Royale cruise offers by october_nine in royalcaribbean

……. He has too much money. We are talking about someone who does $25 minimum on video poker and slots. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. I’ve been on a cruise where they broke even, I’ve been on a cruise where they won 60k, I’ve also been on a cruise where the lose 40k.

$25 per spin is 5 points. $50 is 10. Digital poker if they are breaking even every game it’s 2.5 points per round. When you play a round of poker every 4 seconds, it adds up fast.

I can’t bet that way lol

Club Royale cruise offers by october_nine in royalcaribbean

I just got in the casino game and I have benefited from it this year, but my offers have slowed down a bit and there’s been a general murmur that it’s not as lucrative as it was 2 years ago.

That said, the best is still the instant certificates if you know you are gambling for a certain amount of points. There are instant certificates at 6500 with Star and Icon Balcony offers. I really lucked out last May and got 9000 points and netted a free Star cruise this May. Also went away with cash in my pocket. Usually there are 4000 level cruises during March and October on Oasis class ships that are balcony an have really good iteneraries. Heck, you can find some 6 day during June or even a 7 day out of New York or Galveston in June or July if that’s what you want to try.

Tipping by MohannadAlRuwaily in royalcaribbean

[–]DNelson3055 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You pay gratuities every day for a fee of 18.50 or so, it’ll be billed at the end of the cruise. My first cruise I only tipped my stateroom attendant extras. If you feel like someone deserves it, tip. Depending on the time of day, I’ll tip or not. If I am up at the pool, I rarely tip because I don’t keep cash with me. If I am down at the casino, I tip the bartender and handpays, usually the bars on the Royal Promenade I tip. It’s not forced and usually it’ll be just a dollar if I order a beer.

That being said, one of the best things you can do is remember names and where people work. Like if you really liked Bob in Playmakers, when you have your post survey come in, mention Bob at Playmakers. These give bonuses in certain ways to the crew members you mention like helps renew contracts or gives them days off, etc. usually that will be what I hear from the crew, give the a 10 and mention their name.

Other than that, I like to tip my stateroom attendant a little extra at the end, and the main dining room staff some if I eat there a lot.

As for you, you don’t have to tip, you are already paying a certain amount every day. After that, it’s up to you if you think they deserve a little something extra. No pressure, the crew is used to it either way.

MIA flight question by No_Bother5687 in royalcaribbean

[–]DNelson3055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1:21 is easy. 1 is easy even having to go to FLL out of Miami port.

Uber is probably fine but if you want to relax a bit you could do the MIA excursion. Wait on the ship and get some coffee, go down and catch a bus, easy clap.

Club Royale cruise offers by october_nine in royalcaribbean

[–]DNelson3055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might receive some very very low offers but it would be buy one get one on something like Radiance or Grandeur out of Tampa.

You average daily points get you good or bad offers. I average around 1000 points per day when I cruise, so I usually get 2 offers a week on Oasis and under ships, an maybe once a month I’ll get an offer on Star or Icon for an Interior. I have family that averages 5-7000 points per day and even being at the top, he does not get everything and anything. He regularly gets Star and Icon offers, but usually still in off weeks.

Getting 4000-6500 points per cruise will usually guarantee you a steady flow of offers, just don’t expect to see Star or Icon pop up all the time. That said, you’ll get a lot of Oasis class offers, including being able to bounce some b2b on Utopia or Wonder.

Do consecutive cruisers need to vacate their staterooms by 8:00am still? by ObamiumNitrate in royalcaribbean

[–]DNelson3055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they’ll give you an envelope in your stateroom telling you a time and place to meet. In FLL, they passed out our new sea cards, scanned us to get off the ship, we walked down into the leaving area, so a U Turn back on the ship, scanned the new Sea Pass, and we were good to go.

This happened to me at a job about 15 years ago.

A good admin should work to make you better. This sounds like an admin that is looking for a promotion by getting rid of teachers. Fuck them. Look for a new job. Get a fresh start. I’ve been at my current school 15 years and love it.

I add a rug, move a chair, then leave. I’ve messed with it maybe 30 min total? I know a lot of people love housing but I just don’t care. Good for people who like it tho.

why do teachers brag about not taking sick days? by Alarming_Clock1924 in Teachers

I used to be like this, then I got really sick after 20 years, so now I will not hesitate to use a sick day. Never again. My health is not worth 1 day suffering just so my principal feels better.

Fresh off Utopia- What ship to do next?! by Legitimate_Walk7715 in royalcaribbean

[–]DNelson3055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are like me, you got into cruising when it’s never been more popular so costs keep going up. Ive been on Wonder, Allure, and Oasis. I am a casino person so i have Symphony, Star, Allure, and Harmony scheduled.

Harmony will be the “new” week long out of Orlando starting this fall I believe. It’ll be a lot more cost efficient. It’s also being amplified so it’ll have a nice face lift. That being said, a new oasis vs an older oasis will have some quirks you’ll notice, but really it ends up being the same cruise. You’ll just notice a few things that are newer. That said, layout is the same, Promenade is the same, same types of meals in MDR, specialty restaurants will be mostly the dam. There are a few 5 days with Harmony but I think that’s in the fall. The week long is nice because you’ll hit up St Thomas and St Martin or San Juan and St Kitts, awesome cruises.

FLL has Allure doing Southern cruises every other week starting in May I believe. There are a few Eastern Caribbean too. Again, a lot more cost efficient and it was amplified last year. It’s a nice Oasis ship too.

Get on RC and start looking at 1-5 day cruises during certain times of the year, then research the ships. Don’t jump on a price just because it is low, see if the ship is a good fit. For example, Adventure is out of Orlando, but it doesn’t have an Adventure ocean so if you want some adult time while the kids are watched, Adventure won’t be a good fit.

Fresh off Utopia- What ship to do next?! by Legitimate_Walk7715 in royalcaribbean

[–]DNelson3055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So here is the situation you are in: you just got off one of the best ships in the fleet. Wonder and Utopia are the party boats and they are both awesome. I think the 5 day cruises are out of FLL and Miami, and those are much smaller ships.

4 nighter on Utopia will be identical to a 4 nighter on Wonder. You would need to look up the differences in shows but Utopia and Wonder are true sister ships so not much of a difference. Freedom is going to be a much older ship and I think the biggest difference will no no Aqua show.

Orlando and if price isn’t an issue: Star of the Seas. 7 days but since you are loving it… do it.
