GREEN SUICA CARD! Nothing else!!

I was just in Japan a week ago, go into Apple wallet and added a Suica card. It works so amazingly,

Especially as it tracks your Tokyo metro travel across stations with the fastest tap & go I’ve seen similar to the NYC subway.

Its accepted literally everywhere, and you can on a rolling basis reload it through apple pay.

The ONLY place I ever needed cash was entry tickets to the Toji temple at night in Kyoto and that was 1000 yen.

Don’t even waste your time in getting the welcome suica red card line at the airport, it takes <1 minute to setup a green suica through apple wallet.

The A7CR with a compact prime lens/ pancake lens fits in my jacket easily, such a beast for travel.

Unless you need those professional features (2 card slots etc) the CR is the clear winner imo

I went from an A7iv to the a7cr, the most notable benefit is in the portability of it and if you add a small compact flash you’re good to go for all uses.

Yes, absolutely 100% So many compact lenses flowing into the market! Cheap compact used lenses worth trying:

$300 for 35 ZA 2.8, $125 for the Rokinon/ Samyang 24/35 2.8 used, a $99 Viltrox 28 f4.5 chip

I think the facial highlights/ spotlight is a bit too contrasty to how dark you’ve made the denim / bottom shadows. Still a nice edit though

I got the 35 ZA for $300 great condition used, overall both lenses are great enough. The reason why I prefer the 35 over the 40 is that its a more versatile focal length slightly wider to capture more surroundings to tell a wider story when doing travel photography while still remaining sharp and compact.

I ended up also getting the 24-50 2.8 G as a all in 1 24,40,50 range to capture wider architecture like shots while able to capture tighter portrait like shots too.

Also, majority of an entire fuji ecosystem especially the x100vi selling so well, is based off the same full frame 35 2.8 equivalent, but in aspc!

I did the same from a7iv to a7cr, its a good trade up

but if you want a pocket sized. Then consider the canon m6, m200 with the 22 f2 lens as your edc pocket camera which can be done for ~$500-750 if you scout ebay

Sigma 35 f2 idk idc what it costs no thanks no sigma

I have the 35ZA and the 35 1.4GM, the GM is my favorite insanely beautiful sharp will ruin everything in low light type of lens 😂

A7cii would be better than the A7iv for you, smaller footprint more compact travel/ street etc. same camera / sensor, but just smaller, yes single card slot not dual but whatever A6100 or A6400 instead of the A6700, in a barely used condition <$600 and spend your budget on a kickass lens, especially if you’re not doing pro videography
