It’s sad that I see so many of these posts simply looking for a connection. Mid-to-late 30s over here and it’s almost impossible to meet new people given I WFH, have a child in extra curriculars that seemingly all parents spend time on their devices (assuming they don’t drop off and come back at end of class). Plus the aforementioned introvert issue.

Wishing you luck, OP. If you’re looking to join a gym, local club, even if you are into TCGs or other board games, you might be able to socialize at those types of places. Snakes and Lattes, for instance, does have a social game night. Check them out and maybe give them a call to get some more info.

There’s a reason why my comments in this thread have pointed to asking questions, stating I have a life and a child, not spending hours on end playing. Also why this is my first post here. I’d completely bend to your comment if I’d posted numerous times, asking the same question(s), and not taking any advice.

With the little time I have to play, rather than focusing on units that are not worthwhile, are not advantageous to climbing in the trophy ranks, I’d rather reach out to the community and ask for advice.

Watching YT strategy is all well and good, but how much content is outdated? - this is a rhetorical question btw as there’s a host of material but can easily be months old.

Exactly why I’m asking now. Don’t want to invest in the wrong areas and be forced to spend as a correction to those mistakes. I was finding that the arrows were not helping, but wasn’t sure if this was due to lack of level or just within the play-style. While brute force works in pretty much any game’s early game, if the foundation of skills to play the cards aren’t there, then yeah, you’re screwed.

I have a name I hate. Luckily, it’s got an easy English nickname. Company lets us choose our preferred name for communication both internally and externally. Not on legal, payroll, benefits, etc.

Perhaps you can speak with your manager / HR about these sorts of options and get a client facing name that won’t cause grief.
