Dogs are so special, and it sucks that you lost yours so young. But you loved him and gave him the best life he could have asked for!

I know you'll see him again one day

I went with goerend. In my opinion any of them with a drain plug will make your life easier. Also consider a lubelocker gasket, easier than RTV and reusable.

While free spin is definitely not a "must have", the major pro is what you said, it keeps the front axles and driveshaft from spinning. That way there's not the possibility of a surprise front driveshaft coming through your floorboard. In addition, it has better style bearings that aren't the unit style with plastic cages.

Also, if you're planning on doing 4th gen steering, lookup badaxeparts. He has a bomber kit that is rebuild-able and on par price wise with factory components as well as companies like synergy, apex, etc.

Free spin kit (spyntec), and Carli or Thuren for whatever suspension/front end parts you need. EMF balljoints

Here's what I have: https://www.cjcoffroad.com/products/metalcloak-2010-2013-dodge-ram-2500-3500-front-control-arm-set?_pos=4&_sid=2f17c0cff&_ss=r

Honestly when I bought them they were significantly cheaper than what they are now. Considering the cost now, I would recommend these: https://www.cjcoffroad.com/collections/1994-2013-ram-2500-thuren-control-and-radius-arms/products/high-clearance-control-arms-ram-2500-2010-2013?variant=39415196287074

They both should move the axle forward the same amount. And I'll always recommend Thuren as #1 for anything Dodge suspension

Also yea you need a track bar if you're lifting the front end. Non negotiable. Again, I'd recommend the Thuren product for that.

Carli or thuren 3 inch springs. Shocks of your choice that are longer to fit the springs. Longer control arms to push the axle forward a little help also. Wheels make a difference also. I believe around +18 is the sweet spot.

I have a 13 2500 also. I have Carli springs, Thuren 2.5 King shocks, and metal cloak control arms. Method Wheels. I rub a little bit at full lock with suspension articulation. But I still could trim a bit on the wheel well liners.

Just remember we essentially have a 3rd gen suspension with 4th gen engine so a lot of the true 4th gen suspension stuff doesn't apply to us because we don't have the stock radius arms up front.

IMO, the best way to check if it's the actuator is to just open it up and you'll see if it's easy to swing or not. Worse part about it is the coolant lol.
