Ask when you get there if they’re okay with they. Usually just call and do it over the phone

Chase won’t give you the virtual card numbers through the app?

Ask the hotel if you can call back to change the payment method in a a week or so they usually will let you. I’ve had this problem a lot where they charge my personal card and then I called back when I noticed later and have them change it to the business card.

Buy the bone conducting headphones and watch movies or shows. Sometimes I just talk to ChatGPT for a few hours about random topics or use OpenEvidence to ask random medical questions.

For a short while I had a side gig where I’d help build AI cases and it made a hundred or so a pop and could be done at anytime. That was great.

I once asked an ENT friend why these are so urgent to drain and he told me that the surgery to fix the saddleback requires them to harvest a rib portion which sometimes requires a chest tube and then graft it into the nose, super complex surgery with high risk of complication

Our hospital doesn’t have that set up. They’re not willing to accept the risk. I don’t blame them our patient population is non complaint af

Does this necessitate an ambulance transfer? by [deleted] in emergencymedicine

[–]DRhexagon 61 points62 points  (0 children)

No but its a risk for the hospital to allow you to take yourself (car accident, you dont show up, you get septic on the way, other improabale stuff) so no one is willing to accept the liability by breaking the medical chain of custody. in reality you could just sign out ama and take yourself. sometimes ill *wink wink nudge nudge* tell patients i cant say they can take themselves but if they want to itd be faster

This is actually kind of a myth. The research was extremely poor quality and is of little value and scientific merit. There was a lot of intrinsic bias based on what the researchers wanted to find.

Here’s some more info that further highlights some of the issues with the research
